Khloé Kardashian Slammed for ‘Inappropriate’ Pickle Popcorn Ad Featuring Daughter & Niece

A lot of parents try to be intentional about what they share online, and even some celebrities who are used to being in the spotlight themselves do not want the same for their kids. While the Kardashians do not really refrain from sharing updates about their kiddos on social media, people were still shocked to see Khloé Kardashian’s daughter and niece featured in a recent popcorn ad—especially because the ad seemed inappropriate for kids.

On the Instagram page for her brand, Khloud Foods, Khloé shared a video to promote her new Dill Pickle Protein Popcorn. Though Khloé spoke in the video, she didn’t show her face. However, her 7-year-old daughter, True, and her 9-year-old niece, Dream, did appear in the clip.

Khloé opened a box that read, “Love Life in a Pickle?”

Then, True and Dream appeared, clearly excited to see what was inside the box. The inside of the box read, “Get yourself a better pickle,” and contained “Hot Girl Pickles” from goodgirlsnacks along with Khloé’s dill pickle popcorn. On the surface, it might not seem terribly offensive, but several people online argued that using your kids to try to promote your products is…not great.

So, right away, people criticized Khloé for it. “People that use their kids to promote stuff (especially online) will always be gross to me,” one critic commented on Reddit. “Obviously not at all surprising coming from these people but this is a new low.” Someone else accused Khloé of relying on child labor to promote her popcorn.

But the nature of the ad made it even worse for some critics.

Toward the end of the video, Khloé took out an insert and read from it. “Not all pickles rise to the occasion, but ours do,” she read. To some, this sounded like an innuendo, which really grossed them out. The person who shared the clip on Reddit questioned, “Why is she doing this with her kids?!”

A few people were actually quite surprised that Khloé would post the ad and seemingly think nothing of it. “That’s really inappropriate. What is she thinking?” one person commented on the post.

“That should be taken down and khloe should know better.”

Obviously, Khloé is far from the only celebrity or influencer who has shared videos of her kids on social media. One critic made the argument that “no normal parent” would do something like this, but it’s maybe not as shocking coming from the Kardashians.

But overall, people just couldn’t wrap their heads around why Khloé would even feel comfortable including True and Dream in this popcorn ad. “No parent in 2026 can pretend they don’t know how dangerous it is to expose children like this on the internet,” another critic wrote.
