Laura's loss happened on Monday.
On Instagram, Laura shared a photo of herself performing on board The Broadway Cruise, which sailed out of New York on March 31. Her miscarriage was taking place as she sang for 2,000 people.
"If it had been our first loss, or even our second, I likely wouldn’t have been able to go on. But unfortunately, I am not a stranger to the pain and emptiness of losing a pregnancy. It is a path I have walked before, hand in hand with my husband," Laura wrote.
She went on to thank everyone for supporting her.
From the audience to the band to her fellow performers, Laura thanked everyone who had been there that day, including her extended family.
"Thank you to my remarkable mother-in-law and father-in-law for shielding Ella from the reality of this experience and giving her the time of her life while 'Mama’s back hurt,'" she continued in her post.
"Thank you to that little soul for choosing me as your home, even for a short time," she added.
Laura is a mom to two daughters.
She and husband Patrick Brown have two kids — a 6-year-old daughter named Ella, along with Louisa, who will celebrate her first birthday in July. Laura and Patrick welcomed Louisa via surrogate.
"Patrick and I are so grateful for the family that we have, and the miracle of our two little girls. One carried by me and one carried by an angel-on-earth," Laura added in her Instagram caption.

Laura shared that she and her husband are 'heartbroken' by this loss.
"I share all of this, not to garner sympathy or attention, but to remind the many people and families who have and will suffer in this way that there is no shame in this kind of loss. That you are not alone. And to remind myself as well," she continued.
She certainly isn't alone — so many women have experienced multiple miscarriages, including fellow celebrity moms.
Here's hoping she and her family have plenty of time and privacy to heal.
It's hard to imagine what the experience of going through a loss in front of thousands of people is like, but we hope that Laura is able to recover in peace.
We're sending her and her family so many positive vibes. There's no doubt sharing her story will help others who have been through the same thing.
