A years-old clip of Lisa Kudrow might be more relevant than ever. In 2020, the Friends actress portrayed a conservative spokesperson in Death to 2020, a mockumentary about things that happened that year. And yet, five years later, many people are drawing comparisons between Lisa’s character and “literally every Republican.”
The resurfaced clip has gone viral on social media.
A clip from Death to 2020 has been circulating on platforms like X and TikTok. In it, Lisa portrays Non-Official Spokesperson Jeanetta Grace Susan. At the start of the clip, Lisa’s character says, “The whole impeachment thing was baseless, OK? So, the Democrats claim that Trump pressured Ukraine into digging up dirt on the Biden family.” She then adds, “And their only real evidence of that is a transcript of him doing it.”
In the background, a reporter can be heard asking, “So what did he say in the transcript?” Immediately, Lisa’s character responds with, “What transcript?”
She continued to deflect.
The reporter in the clip tells Lisa’s character that she just mentioned a transcript, to which Lisa replies, “Check your tape. I said no such thing.” When the reporter repeats back what Lisa’s character said earlier, Lisa simply laughs and says, “There’s no such place as Ukraine.”
“Yes, there is,” the reporter responds, clearly confused. Lisa’s character then says, “I choose to believe there is not.” Elsewhere in the clip, a reporter asks Lisa’s character about the Covid-19 pandemic. “In March, the president said the pandemic would simply get out of the way,” the reporter recalls.
Meanwhile, Lisa shoots back with, “OK, see, this is what the media does. You lie, fabricate, fantasize. The president never said that.”
It reminded people of the current Trump administration.
Lisa Kudrow nailed it! 🎯

On X, several people said the clip reminded them of White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt. “Lisa Kudrow did a perfect Leavitt 4 years before anyone knew who Leavitt was,” one person wrote. “Totally Nailed it!” someone else commented. “Does this sound familiar Karoline?”
Sadly, a handful of people pointed out that while the clip was meant to be satirical, it seemed to depict reality. “This is so spot-on it took me a second to realize it was a parody,” one person noted. Another person added, “I’m old enough to remember when this was considered parody.”
“This is just about every daily press conference at the White House,” someone else pointed out. Another person simply described it as “MAGA 100%,” while someone else said the way Lisa’s character acted “was the entirety of MAGA about the Epstein files.”
