A few weeks ago, we all collectively lost our minds when Lindsay Lohan, Lacey Chabert, and Amanda Seyfried were spotted together working on a secret project that appeared to involve them reprising their iconic roles from Mean Girls. And now, that project has been revealed. The Mean Girls cast is back together for a Walmart commercial … and though this collaboration might be strange, trust us: It works.

The Plastics are getting us ready for Black Friday shopping.
The ads are being used to promote Walmart’s annual deals event that will be dropping every Wednesday leading into Black Friday.
“Wearing pink on Wednesdays has evolved to shopping deals on Wednesdays,” a press release read, referencing one of the Plastics’ rules from the movie.
The ad takes us right back to 2004, and we're here for it.

The commercial starts with a voiceover from Lindsay in character as Cady, giving us an update on the current happenings at North Shore High School now that she and her classmates are all grown up. That’s when we see three teenage girls walking out of the school.
In a silver convertible reminiscent of the one Regina drives in the original movie, we see Gretchen Wieners, now a mom, telling the girls to get in the car. “We’re going deal shopping!” she exclaims as her daughter rolls her eyes.
Certain members of the cast were missing, though.

In addition to Lindsay, Lacey, and Amanda, other castmates reprising their roles include Rajiv Surendra as Kevin Gnapoor and Daniel Franzese as Damian Leigh, who even appears in his pink polo from the movie! There is also a special appearance by rapper Missy Elliott, whose song “Pass That Dutch” was featured in both the movie and commercial, but this time, she’s taking on the role of Coach Carr.
Noticeably absent was Rachel McAdams as the head of the Plastics, Regina George.

The attention to detail was immaculate.

Some of the movie’s most iconic moments are recreated in the commercial spot, including the “Jingle Bell Rock” talent show scene. This time, Gretchen takes on the role of Mrs. George, phone in hand to record all the action.
Some of our favorite Mean Girls-isms also made the cut, including Cady’s “grool.” And yes, Gretchen is still trying to make “fetch” happen all these years later.
Fans are so excited to see the cast back together.

Fans on social media were rightfully freaking out about the new commercial.
“I’m inviting everyone I ever met to my house to watch this on repeat,” one person commented on Instagram.
“Whoever’s idea it was to do this commercial needs a raise immediately,” another person added.
“This is INCREDIBLE. It has the feel of the movie to it and nothing was butchered. Everything was so faithful,” one fan commented on YouTube.
