Taylor Swift Has a Show in Tokyo a Day Before the Super Bowl — Will She Be at the Game?

The cohosts on “The Pat McAfee Show” were trying to do math this past week, and it had to do with singer Taylor Swift.

That may sound odd, but the members of the ESPN show were trying to figure out the time difference between Tokyo and Las Vegas.

Why? Well, Taylor is set to resume her incredibly popular “Eras Tour” at the Tokyo Dome on February 7. She’ll play four shows there before taking a break and playing seven nights in Australia starting on February 16.

Would that give her time to see boyfriend Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs play in Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas on February 11? The last concert in Tokyo is on February 10, one day before the Super Bowl.

The cohosts of “The Pat McAfee Show” said Taylor may have to postpone that show on February 10, and guest J.J. Watt said Swifties would be OK with that.

“Have you seen her fans response? Her fans love it. Her fans are all about it. They just want to see her happy,” J.J. noted.

But Taylor may not have to postpone a show to make the Super Bowl. The reason: the International Date Line.

NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport brought that up on Sunday, noting that Taylor could make it to Las Vegas despite it being a nearly 13-hour flight from Tokyo.

Rapoport, who is an NFL Insider for the league’s network, quoted sources close to Taylor.

The timeline should work.

“The biggest question heading into this game if the Chiefs win, will Taylor Swift be at the Super Bowl? Sources say yes,” Rapoport said.

“Now, she does have a concert on Saturday, Feb. 10 at 6 p.m. in Tokyo. How in the world could she get to the game? Let me introduce you to something called the International Date Line. Tokyo is 17 hours ahead. That means this concert on Feb. 10 at 6 p.m. starts at 1 a.m. Vegas time the same day, so the morning before essentially."

Taylor could even get there early enough to join the party.

“Let’s say it’s a five-hour concert ends about 11 p.m. local which is 6 a.m.," he continued. "Remember it’s still Saturday in Las Vegas, figure it’s a 12-hour flight maybe she leaves about an hour later, Taylor Swift could still get to the Super Bowl to Vegas about 7 or 8 p.m. Saturday night just in time to party.”

There you have it. Taylor could be at Super Bowl LVIII to watch Travis and the Chiefs.
