A church wedding is traditional, sure, but apparently it's just not cool anymore. More and more brides are opting to use locations that haven't been thought of before, and that no longer means just beaches and backyards. In the search for unique venues, some couples are choosing places that are straight-up crazy … funeral parlor, anyone?
Here are the 12 weirdest places people have been married — don't try these at home, kids.

Funeral Parlors
It sounds morbid, but apparently some people take the "'til death do us part" section of their vows pretty seriously, and now hosting weddings in funeral parlors is a pretty big trend.
A 99 Cent Store
Cheapest wedding ever? On September 9, 2009, a 99 Cent store in Los Angeles offered the 99 cent dream wedding to nine "lucky" couples, who were married in aisle nine starting at 8:09 a.m. Huh.
Haunted House
One couple's wedding was held inside a haunted house — both the bride and groom were dressed as vampires, and instead of ending in a kiss, the "scare-emony" ended in a bite on the neck.
Taco Bell
It'd be nice to just point out one couple who did this, but it turns out that getting married at Taco Bell is turning into a trend.

Giant Hole
And by giant hole, we mean the empty space in the ground that's reserved for a building foundation. The couple told their local Patch that their hole-in-the-ground wedding ceremony was delightful, and since "we were going to be stuck together for the rest of our lives, we may as well get married in a hole that also represented the foundation of our futures." Okay, guys.
Nudist Resort
Nudist weddings will always spark a lot of controversy, but at the very least, the bride saves on a dress, right?
Garbage Dump
It's hard to call this one a "venue," because really, it's just trash. A couple in Maine wanted to get married in the same place they met each other, so they said their vows in a garbage dump.
Shark Tank
Yes, it's real, and no, the wedding guests were not invited in the tank with them. But that didn't stop one Long Island couple from saying "I do" with a bunch of hungry sharks as their witnesses — as well as a video camera that let their family watch the festivities.

Gas Station
A photographer in Greece stumbled upon a strange sight when he was photo scouting one night: a wedding reception being held at a gas station. We can only hope they skipped the romantic candle lighting for the evening.
In 'The Shining' Hotel
If you want the ghosts of twin girls to be added to your guest list, then you can follow in the footsteps of horror-lovers before you and get married in the hotel that inspired The Shining.
Zero-Gravity Flight
It's almost like a real astronaut wedding — for the small price of $24,000, you can take your wedding party into a zero-gravity flight. Everyone will be weightless for several seconds at a time (during an eight-minute trip), so you better make those vows quick! … And only invite people with strong stomachs.
A Gun Store
Las Vegas is a city full of strange places to have a wedding, but at the top of that list might be The Gun Store, which is — you got it — a store where you can buy and shoot guns. It's obvioulsy the perfect spot for a shotgun wedding.
