In Case You Needed Reminding, Camel Toe Heels Actually Exist

No need to adjust your computer screens folks. Yes, you are really, actually looking at a photograph of camel toe-shaped shoes. That are actually for sale. In an actual store.

Fashion house Maison Margiela has been creating cloven-toed shoes for years now, so admittedly this isn't exactly a new trend,

The chunky ankle strap pump pictured above is the latest addition to the herd of camel-toed shoes the line puts out.

The camel toe shoes comes with a high price tag ($825 Nordstrom). Maison Margiela produces other similar footwear in various colors.

Ballet flats will run you around $660, while boots can cost you upwards of $1,000.

The quirky design is supposedly modeled after the Japanese style split-toe socks, called "tabi."

The socks eventually evolved into jika-tabi, which are tabi boots with rubber soles, typically worn by farmers, rickshaw pullers, workmen, and construction workers.

So naturally, it was adapted for *~* fashion *~* and both men and women are into rocking those styles.

While a lot of people seem to really be into this, Imma have to give this a hard pass.

I personally will continue to avoid camel toe in all of its iterations.
