There is no worse pain than the fire of hell burning between your inner thighs on a hot summer day. As a plus-size woman, I have spent years trying to figure out the best solution for chub rub.
In the last year or so, I've seen a rise in new products and hacks to quell the fire. Here, I test them all to see which one should be your new anti-chafe bae.
7. Baby Powder
Before I discovered that I wasn't the only woman dealing with chub rub, I Googled different ways to prevent it. In a mom thread, a lot of women suggested baby powder since it helps with rashes on babies.

I applied two light coats of baby powder between my thighs.
The day I decided to try the baby powder, I went bar hopping with some friends. I needed a touch-up after walking four blocks to the first bar. I later noticed I was leaving a trail of baby powder on every seat I took!

6. Monistat
Curve blogger Glitter and Lazers ran A MILE in booty shorts and didn't suffer chub rub thanks to Monistat Chafing Relief Powder Gel. Could this be the one for me?

The formula is similar to Vaseline, but without any greasy residue.
After slathering it on and running around the beach, the chub rub kicked in. Unfortunately this just wasn't strong enough for my thunder thighs.

This stick applicator left a slightly sticky residue that actually encouraged my chub rub.
The moisture of the product made it worse. I was sticky and still chaffing.

4. ChafeZone
Similar to Monistat, Chafezone is made specifically for the thick thigh struggle. I tested it on a day when I wore a mini skirt, which usually, without an anti-chafe product, results in second-degree burns on my inner thighs.

The first thing I noticed is the menthol-like smell, which I actually like.
The product is meant to prevent thigh, under arm, and chest chafing. At first it leaves a thick film, but as it blends and sinks into the skin, it wears off quickly. Less than half an hour after application it ghosted entirely.

3. Coconut Oil
My family uses coconut oil as a solution for almost everything. We use it to cook, we put it on our skin and hair… its power knows no bounds in the Torres household.

Before heading out the door in a short dress, I rubbed on a generous amount of coconut oil and hoped for the best.
For the first few minutes, it seemed to work well. Oddly, after a few blocks, my upper thighs became slippery and somehow led to my lower thighs starting to chafe.

2. Gold Bond
This friction defense bar is meant for daily use and has a soothing formula.

The thickness of the product is similar to Vapo-Rub.
We're getting close… The formula was moisturizing and blended out smoothly. It far surpassed the others in terms of lasting effect, but it still didn't go the distance.

Finally — I found my one true anti-chafe bae.
I tested this on days when I was out in the sun (read: sweating) and on days when I was indoors more. I needed to reapply once after a few hours sweating in the sun, but on more indoor days it lasted up to seven hours!
NOTE: Everyone's pH level is different and results will vary, but this is how the products fared for me, an admitted sweaty Betty. Share your favorite anti-chafe products with us on our I Heart My Body Facebook page!
