This Beauty Influencer Shows What It’d Be Like If Every Disney Princess Were A Brown Girl

If there's one thing we've learned lately, it's that Disney princesses can look however we want them to. And with a black Ariel who has locs on the horizon for the upcoming live-action The Little Mermaid, Disney continues to prove that our favorite cartoon protagonists are diverse in their own ways.

So when one Indian beauty influencer decided to reimagine some fan-favorite princesses as brown girls, people went crazy. The looks are absolutely stunning and will change the way you see your favorite childhood movies.

Rowi Singh is the ultimate makeup master who's changing our definition of the word "princess."

Known for her vibrant eye looks that often consist of neon colors and elaborate artwork, her beats are almost always guaranteed to turn heads. The Australian-Indian influencer also boasts a serious love for Disney princesses; in honor of her infatuation, she has just started a series in which she reimagines the protagonists as brown girls like herself.

Ahead, check out the amazing looks she's created that will have you begging for more.

Princess Jasmine:

"ATTENTION! Dropping this back in your feed to alert you that I’ve recreated some other Disney Princesses (I’m sure you’ve seen snippets in my story) and we’re calling this series: DISNEY PRINCESSES REIMAGINED. @disney had a huge influence on my childhood but there was always something missing – dat strong brown representation. What would these princesses look like if they were South Asian?" Singh wrote on Instagram.

Belle:

"Sis was sick of that provincial life and sick of being harassed by that [redacted] Gaston so we gave her some necessary spice," she captioned this photo. "This is my second look from my Disney Princesses Reimagined series, what do we think of brown Belle? There’s something so special in taking these traditionally western princesses and infusing them with South Asian lifeeeeee. I like Belle because she was individualistic and didn’t follow the herd mentality of the town. She was on her own flow and knew her worth. Can relate."

Cinderella:

"IT’S BROWN CINDERELLA (Cinderinder) AND HER GLASS EARRINGS. Cinderella is interesting to me. I feel we tend to brush her off as weak and passive. But in fact, Cinderella was a victim of abuse who chose kindness and optimism to fight her situation. She used her own creativity and strength to rescue herself. Her fantasies and imagination were displays of strength, rather than passive mindlessness. She a bad [redacted], and truly progressive for her time (the 50’s)," Singh said about this mesmerizing look.

Cinderella (again):

"Cinderella was one of my favourites because I loved the idea of having this life changing magical thing just happen to you. Like where do I sign up. But then I learnt that life is not a Disney movie and things like that don’t just happen – you have to work for that Cinderella experience. It can and will happen for you, just put in the work. Dreams are only out of reach if you stay dreaming. Like, I aways dreamed of brown Cinderella and we manifested her," she continued.

And of course she had to show some love to Ariel:

"INDIAN ARIEL (Arielpreet) bout to get people pressed. One of my most requested looks," she wrote about the metallic purple and blue look with a matching bejeweled bra. Looks like Ariel has been getting a serious makeover lately.

But it's not only the princesses that get Singh's support — the villains do, too.

"IF JAFAR WAS FEMALE," she shared with this secondary Aladdin look. "This is my final look using the @maccosmeticsaustralia Disney Aladdin collection! Female Jafar is kinda cute also I did this whole look, took pics and wiped it off only to realise I never added lashes it kind works tho."
