I Got a Mommy Makeover & Thought I’d Wake Up ‘Snatched,’ But Instead I Looked Like a Box

The pressure on a woman to have a perfect body starts so early. We can become obsessed with having the perkiest breasts, the flattest tummy, and the best booty around. This can become even more of a fixation after a woman has children. Even though it is perfectly normal to have a little sagging here and there and a stretch mark or two (ahem … dozens), some women don't love it and want things to return to how they once were. Nothing is wrong with that; every woman should do what makes her happy.

Even though it may seem extreme to some, mommy makeovers are definitely hot right now, and women are shelling out big bucks for great results. But the results aren't always what they expect. Erebi, a recently made-over mommy, who goes by @musclemummyxoo on TikTok, shared her story as a cautionary tale to those women who want it all.

She didn't wake up looking like a model.

Erebi's makeover consisted of liposuction, a breast lift, breast implants, and a tummy tuck. These were major surgeries that required an intense recovery period. And, she didn't wake up looking "snatched," as she called it. That perfect body takes some time. It took her four to five weeks before she saw results. "Before that, I looked like a box," she recalled.

Erebi was depressed.

Told her followers not to be surprised if they wake up depressed after a mommy makeover. For her, that depression was major. She cried multiple times a day because she was miserable. Erebi also said she was "severely depressed."

"I was angry at myself for putting myself through all of that pain. And it was the worst pain I have ever experienced. I have had two children with just gas and air. I thought labor was the worst thing, but it's not," she explained.

She said she couldn't do anything for herself, not even open the fridge. She couldn't even use the bathroom or shower by herself. Nope, that sounds pretty humbling and not like much fun.

She warned that body dysmorphia is real.

Erebi said that if you had body dysmorphia before the surgery, it would only worsen. Some days, she feels great about herself, and others … not so much. "It's mentally … it's a roller coaster," she said.

She also warned that this kind of surgery could turn into an addiction. She said people think if I can fix this, what else can I fix? That kind of thinking is not only costly, but it can also be dangerous. She said you must be mentally strong to avoid going down a slippery slope. "You have to love yourself, most importantly," Erebi concluded the video.

Her post-surgery updates are impressive.

@musclemummyxoo Guys…I’ve had a tummy tuck, you dont need to put sunscreen in your belly button, if you dont want to. I have stretch on my arms and legs that get darker when I don’t put sunscreen on DAILY. No, I dont use the oil if it’s hot… Yes, I’ve had surgery & I’m very open about it too. I’ve had 2 kids and lost 5 stone, I deserve it @M U S C L E M U M M Y ♬ he's mine (sped up) - you may of had him once - accelerate & creamy & 11:11 Music Group

Erebi's body is hot. She may not have been impressed initially, but she is totally snatched now. But she is not using the surgery as a miracle cure. She continues to exercise and fuel her body with proper nutrition. She is an inspiration for those looking for a major overhaul of their mom body.

TikTokers appreciate Erebi’s candidness.

Sure, having a body makeover seems like a great idea, but the cons may outweigh the pros for some women. Again, that is totally OK.

"Yeah I'm never getting surgery," one follower wrote. "Thanks for the info ."

"Omg I'm sooooo glad someone is being honest I just had a Bbl and it's 2 weeks and it's the worst experience ever ," a TikToker empathized.

"I'm about to go for my MMO ….. oh my God don't make me cancel , I've moved it for over a year," another follower wrote.

Some TikTokers know exactly what she meant.

"omg I'm 5 weeks post opp and I was the same I literally looked like a box I was so scared that I just removed all my Feminine curves," someone commented.

These kinds of videos are what make social media great. Erebi's firsthand experience helped many women think about taking extreme measures to get the body they deem perfect.

No matter what a woman chooses, it is up to her. And we all need to remember that all bodies are beautiful, no matter their shape.
