So 2018 was a rough year for Nikkie Tutorials — that's why we're so happy to see her glowing in 2019. And for much of that glow, we have her fiancé Dylan Drossaers to thank. The recently engaged couple has been the talk of the beautysphere, leaving everyone wondering who in the world this mystery man is that's swept our favorite beauty YouTuber off her feet.
Well now, Nikkie de Jager is finally giving up all the details of that beautiful engagement and a little background on how her and Drossaers' love began to flourish. Check it out.

According to our previous reports, de Jager's boyfriend popped the question during their vacation in Italy. If you tuned into her Instagram story, you'll know that the two lovebirds dined at a seaside restaurant that looks like it was built into a cliff. De Jager's been showing off the unconventional yet beautiful ring all over Instagram ever since.
So what better way to celebrate than with a Euphoria-inspired makeup tutorial.
With love on the brain, clearly, de Jager began creating a makeup look inspired by the HBO hit Euphoria and its fan-favorite character, Maddy. We weren't sure what to expect, but de Jager ensured that the look would incorporate jewels. Pretty appropriate considering that bling on her ring finger, are we right?
Obviously, de Jager was overcome with joy during the entire video, gushing about her fiancé Dylan Drossaers.
After reflecting on how the pair met (through a mutual friend), de Jager finally gave us the deets on what we had all been dying to hear about: the proposal. Vacationing in Italy, Drossaers took her to a romantic dinner at a restaurant overlooking the sea. He wooed her in a way that de Jager could completely relate to: content. By showing her photos of the restaurant, Drossaers was able to make his future fiancé fall in love with the space so much so that she planned a photo for Instagram.
The proposal was completely unexpected — and of course involved makeup.
Exhausted from a long day before, de Jager had made up her mind not to wear makeup to dinner, a decision she surely would regret. Much to her confusion, Drossaers pressed the issue of her baring her face, something he rarely does. His persistence paid off, and de Jager obliged his requests. However, she was still completely clueless about what was about to happen.
Needless to say, she freaked out.
After Drossaers requested that she take a picture of him, de Jager turned around to pick up her purse and head to the table, at which point she found her love getting on one knee to propose. At first, she thought it was a joke, but upon seeing her dream ring, she lost it right there at the restaurant and of course said yes to forever.
And there you have it folks.
De Jager said "heck yeah," and spent the night and days to come fawning over her beautiful ring. Needless to say, we can't wait to see what kind of extravagant wedding the Netherlands residents have planned for us. We'll be tuned into our Instagram stories watching it all play out.
