It’s a dilemma that no one wants to be in: You catch a girl’s boyfriend cheating on her and now you don't know what to do. Girl code dictates that you run to your cellphone and text her immediately, but if you’ve ever been in that situation you know there’s a good chance spilling the beans could blow up in your face. Just ask Carlie — or @suuhduudes as she’s known on TikTok — who got her butt handed to her after trying to warn a friend’s girlfriend that he was trying to sneak around.
Carlie shared the dishy story in a video that’s since gone viral.
In the footage from March 18, the TikToker vowed that she’ll never “Hey girl” another woman again, i.e. she’ll never tell a girl that her man was cheating.
“Even if she begs for it,” she added.
She then inserted a screengrab of a nasty text conversation — and once you read the messages, you’ll understand just how bad it got.
The text messages got pretty heated.
“I don’t know what you just sent [the girl] you stupid b—- but if this just ruined them, I’ll personally beat your f—ing eyes shut,” read one message.
“You are a f—ing psycho. Karma is a b—-,” another note read.
“This was literally the dudes MOM,” Carlie revealed in the comments.
She revealed that the mom also told the guy involved what she did. "You can f— off and I’m going to beat the f— out it you stupid c—,” a third message read.
And they just got worse from there. If you’re dying for more details, you aren’t alone.
After racking up almost 167,000 views, Carlie shared a second “story time” video where she explained what was going on.
“So I’m minding my business one night,” Carlie recalled in the footage, “and I receive a phone call from a friend and he’s like ‘Hey, I’m having issues in my relationship right now. I’m feeling really down in the dumps. Can I come hang out with you and your friends at your apartment?’”
Carlie was hanging out with two other women, so she told him that it was fine and most of the night passed without incident. She did recall a moment where he tried to rub her back, but she told him that was weird and tried to shrug him off.
That should’ve been the end of the story, but little did the TikToker know that her friend would make things oh-so messy when he texted her after he left.
First he asked if she’d hang out with him — one-on-one. I think we all know where this is going.
“Honestly I’m trying to rearrange your guts Carlie,” he wrote, in the world’s most romantic text message. (Eye roll.) “I’ve been thinking about it hard for the last seven months.”
After she responded that she didn’t think that was a great idea, her friend told her he “understood” and added that he’s “just crazy” and is OK with just being friends.
“I would still like to hang out with ya,” he added.
Again, Carlie had to remind her friend that he was engaged and that it was probably a bad idea that they spend time together alone.
Her friend responded that he thought it was fine because he “took my ring off” and is only “technically engaged” but was deciding if he and his fiancée were “done or not.”
He then apologized to Carlie for putting her in the middle of his mess, to which she wrote back: “I’m fine.”
Her friend responded that he had “feelings for her,” although he wasn’t ready to call it love or make her his girlfriend. He also told her he felt their “energies matched.”
At that point, the TikToker stopped responding to him.
Later, Carlie got a DM from her friend’s fiancée asking her a whole slew of questions, but she assured her that she had “nothing to worry about.”
Months later, Carlie posted a TikTok that read: “This is just a reminder that there’s a couple out there arguing every time your name gets brought up.”
It wasn’t intended to be about her friend and his fiancée, but his mom saw it online and was really upset.
She reached out to Carlie and accused her of making the video about her son.
“I kinda live my own life and I haven’t talked to them in months,” the TikToker responded. “Why would this be about them? I’m not sure, but if the shoe fits, wear it.”
Then her friend’s mom, his fiancée, and their sisters blew up her phone — ”calling me a homewrecker … all these names,” she recalled.
Knowing that she did “absolutely nothing wrong,” she decided to send her friend’s fiancée screengrabs of their text conversation.
In the words of Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman: “Big mistake. Huge.”
Her friend’s fiancée was actually willing to accept Carlie’s explanation.
But his mom was not. That was when she sent Carlie the angry text messages, the TikToker explained in a third video. She asked that his mom “stop harassing her,” but the mom accused her of spreading “lies.”
“I hope you are never able to have kids,” the mom added. “You don’t deserve to get to be a parent much less a wife.”
She continued to send Carlie harassing text messages, calling her a “stupid b—-,” telling her she’s “chicken s—.”
Carlie never responded, but she said a few days later “somebody called my job” and “tried to get me in trouble on social media.”
"Skipped the part where his mom and my mom argued on my live LOLOL," she added later in the comments.
Clearly many people were outraged by her friend's mom's behavior.
One commenter wondered "what type of MOM speaks this way?"
"Are u sure it was even his mom writing that stuff or his sisters — so bizarre a grown lady would speak that way," the person wrote.
"We see where he gets his morals from," someone else wrote.
"Apple fell right beside the tree," another commenter joked.
On the other hand, a few people thought Carlie had brought this on herself.
"I’ll be honest though your original replies weren’t good enough as a firm no," one person commented. "You were like well you have a ring on," the person added, meaning that her friend could've believed that if he wasn't engaged, something could've happened.
"When she messaged you you should've told her," someone else wrote.
"Sounds more like you confessed after you were questioned why not say something right away," another person added.
Carlie explained that she tried to keep things under wraps so that she didn’t start “drama” but it backfired. Later in the thread, she wrote that after all this her friend got back together with his fiancée — because of course they did.
We think we can all agree that her story takes the whole "Don't shoot the messenger" saying to a whole new level.
