Walmart Is Selling $3 Lush ‘Dupes,’ But Fans Aren’t Having It

Beauty dupes aren't uncommon. In fact, they're becoming increasingly popular at drugstores. They save us money, and in some instances they look and feel no different than the originals.

However, it's not every day that a brand completely imitates both the formula and the packaging of another brand right down to the font. But hey, Lush is quite popular, so why not jump at an opportunity to replicate? One brand is doing just that, and you can catch it at Walmart.

Lush Cosmetics didn't invent the bath bomb, but it sure has perfected it.

Since its inception, two things have always been consistent for the brand.

The vibrant scents that can be smelled from a mile away ...

And its distinct black-and-white packaging with festive writing.

So an imitator would be pretty easy to catch, right? Right.

Especially when the dupes in question are sold in a mega-retailer such as Walmart.

But that hasn't stopped the brand My Beauty Spot from creating bath bars and jelly that have an uncanny resemblance to those of Lush.

And it's not just the packaging that's been imitated; the products themselves have the distinct swirls seen in many of Lush's bath bombs and bubble bars.

Look familiar?

And though the packaging is almost the same, we can't say the same for the product ingredients.

Looks can be deceiving in this case, and the likelihood that a mass-produced drugstore product carries the same ethically sourced, natural ingredients list as a Lush product is slim to none.

Lush has quite the dedicated following, and it wasn't too flattered by these drugstore replicas.

"WOW. Well this isn't obvious LOL," left one commenter.

Some even had to do a double take.

So if all you're looking for is some cute packaging at a discounted price, then Walmart has exactly what you need.

However, if you're looking for something with natural, ethical ingredients, we suggest saving your coins to buy the original.

Because nothing beats the original.
