Woman Transforms Thrifted Dollhouses Into Spooky Mansions for Halloween

Perhaps the reason so many of us love "spooky season" is because you can truly see people's creativity shine through. It's a time where people have full reign to be as weird and delightful as they want to be.

In the interest of full transparency, that's how artist Samantha Browning lives her life 365 days a year, but this Halloween she really let the creativity come out with her bewitching dollhouse transformations.

Browning tells CafeMom she was inspired to make the house when she saw a TikTok video of someone spookily decorating a wooden dollhouse.

"I wanted to do the same thing but with the plastic, cheesy kind," she said.

So, she headed to Goodwill and stalked Facebook Marketplace in search of a vintage treasure to make her creation with and scored a bright, not at all scary dollhouse that practically everyone remembers from childhood.

Her adorable dollhouse turned into this insanely cool creation.

Browning told us that her houses take anywhere from five to nine hours per project depending on the amount of detail. And when you take a close look, no detail was truly spared.

The details she includes are so perfect.

Browning also takes her detailing indoors, and her place looks like a glorious gothic haven. Her attention to tiny details also make the houses come alive, and we love her setups with dreamy, flickering candles.

Browning doesn't just do pitch black mansions.

She's also tried her hand at creepy haunted mansions in Victorian pink, and truly, there is something even spookier about these pieces. We're also pretty in awe of the stained glass windows she made out of tissue paper.

Sadly, for now, you can't purchase one of her homes.

She's still trying to "perfect" her craft to be good enough to go into someone else's home, but truth be told, we think they're pretty great already.
