Louisiana Mom Accused of Kicking 4-Year-Old Out Second-Story Window, Then Lying & Saying She Fell

There’s no excuse for parents who hurt their children, but the ones who lie about it and blame the child are true monsters. A 4-year-old girl in Louisiana showed up at an emergency room with multiple bone fractures. Although early reports claimed the child fell from a second-story window, the story didn’t add up. Hospital staff contacted police and learned that the child hadn’t fallen on her own. Instead, her mother, 37-year-old Sharonica Davis, allegedly forced her from the window in a bizarre attack.

The child had several broken bones.

The child was taken to Ochsner Medical Center on April 8, 2026, with fractures to both wrists and forearms, KLFY reported. Bossier City Police Department Sergeant Shawn Poudrier told the news outlet that detectives and Child Protective Services began looking into the child’s injuries. “After the detectives began investigating, they found out that the mother of the child pushed her, kicked her out of the window,” Poudrier said.

Police arrested Davis before learning she allegedly kicked the child out the window.

By the time investigators suspected the mother had forced the 4-year-old out the window, Davis was already in custody at the Caddo Correctional Facility. Police arrested her on multiple charges related to the incident, including cruelty to juveniles, KLFY reported.

As a parent, Poudrier was particularly upset by Davis’ alleged actions. “It’s a sad situation, that’s why I take this so personal,” Poudrier said. “You know, I have three small kids, and you see, this work in these cases takes an emotional toll on you. And you want to try to protect every one of them that you can.” Davis currently awaits extradition to Bossier City.

Seeing Davis’ mugshot hurt some who know her.

Domonique Benn from KSLA shared Davis’ story on her Facebook page. The comment section quickly divided into those who condemned Davis and those who supported her.

The allegations certainly sound horrible and, understandably, have caused some concern.

“This is just beyond cruel praying for that poor baby,” someone commented.

Other commenters suggested Davis be locked up for a long time.

“Keep her away from children!!!” another person demanded.

Others who claim to know Davis argue the allegations are just that.

“yall dont kno s– but thanks for the ones praying im the second son that was my sister,” her son, Kuvell Manning, commented.

Others backed up Manning in the comments.

“literally ! to know her is to love her. so sweet !! will give you the shirt off her back man this lady will give you the umbrella while it rain on her .. praying for her,” someone wrote.

“I know her personally and she was not that kind of woman. Somebody had to slip something on her. She use to work at the bank. Sweetest person I know,” another person agreed. “So stop judging if you don’t know her.”

We hope the allegations against Davis are untrue and this was just a tragic accident. If not, the thought of a mother doing something like this makes our stomachs turn.
