Police say the man crossed state lines to solicit sex from minors.
The Knox County Illinois Sheriff’s Office shared on Facebook that it had arrested Ryan Loveless of Hilliard, Ohio. The sheriff’s office has “gained information that Loveless was communicating with 15 and 16 year old minors and traveled across state lines to Illinois, to have sexual intercourse with the minors.” The agency said the man had brought his infant son along because he couldn’t find a babysitter.
He had rented a hotel room.
According to the authorities, Loveless had rented a hotel room in Danville, Illinois, and instructed the minors to meet him at the hotel. He evidently told them to enter through the side door.
The Knox County Sheriff’s Office then obtained an arrest warrant, partnering with the Vermillion County Sheriff’s Office to arrest Loveless. Along with the Danville Police Department, they found the man in the parking lot. Police took him into custody.
The man's child is safe.
Additionally, authorities stated that Loveless had his child with him when he arrived at the hotel. According to the statement, the infant is unharmed. After a medical examination, some of Loveless’ relatives took custody of the child. The authorities aren’t going to release any information on the child’s identity.
