An alarming video shared on TikTok has sparked an investigation. A 25-year-old man who appeared to use a baby to clear snow off his car is expected to be charged with child endangerment. On January 21, 2025, the 25-year-old man allegedly wiped snow from his Hyundai Elantra using a young baby in Port Arthur, Texas. The video went viral on TikTok, and the incident was reported to police that same day, according to 12News.

Per KFDM, some people who watched the video originally suspected the man used a baby doll to make content for TikTok. Port Arthur Police Chief Tim Duriso, however, told 12News that police confirmed “it was a three-month-old baby.”
Both Port Arthur Police and Child Protective Services are investigating the man who allegedly shared the shocking video in the midst of a winter storm. When police arrived at the man’s apartment, the baby appeared to be “just fine,” Duriso told the news outlet.

At this time, the baby is believed to be with the parents. The man has not been charged yet but is expected to be in the coming days. Duriso said two women were also with the man when police visited the apartment.
Speaking to 12News, Duriso called the incident “sad.” Although people do unusual things to increase engagement on social media, using a baby to wipe a snowy windshield takes it too far.
“I know a lot of people go to social media and they are looking for clicks… but this is not a deal where you should put a baby on the windshield,” he told the news outlet.
