7-Month-Old Survived ‘Fiery’ Car Crash That Killed Her Mom — Now Family Seeks Breast Milk Donations

One Alabama family is reeling after an expected tragedy. Mom Kayleigh Page was involved in a car crash that killed her, but thanks to the action of an unknown stranger, her baby survived. No details are publicly available about what caused the crash, which was described as “fiery.” But law enforcement has made it clear that if that stranger had not intervened, Page’s family would likely be dealing with an even bigger tragedy.

Although they are mourning the life lost, the family is also aware they have to be strong for the sake of her beloved baby. Currently, they are seeking breast milk donations because Page was still nursing her little one.

On December 7, 2025, the 29-year-old was killed when she drove her Tesla off the highway, WHNT reported. Her car hit two trees and then caught fire. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency told the outlet that her 7-month-old also was injured in the crash.

Although Page died at the scene, the baby survived thanks to the action of a quick-acting passerby. The baby was taken to the hospital and was in stable condition days after the crash.

“I want to commend the good Samaritan for seeing an emergency and taking action, even though there was great personal risk to themselves,” Morgan County Sheriff Ron Puckett shared in a social media post

“While the death of Kayleigh Page is incredibly tragic, without the actions of the good Samaritan, it would have been an even worse tragedy,” the post continued. “Join me in praying for the child, the Page family and the good Samaritan as they deal with the emotions that come from an event like this.”

Brandon Sivley of Decatur Fire and Rescue spoke about the crash with WAFF, shedding light on just how dangerous it was for the stranger to risk everything by approaching the car. According to Sivley, EV car fires burn significantly higher than regular cars.

“The temperature at which they burn is just, it’s extraordinary. It’s, I mean, it’s normal fire, you know, times 100,” he said. He added that the temperatures are “unbelievable.”

“It’s dangerous,” he added. “The courage and the heroism that that individual displays, it’s just unbelievable”

Page’s family started a GoFundMe account to help with costs to support the baby, who is named Lilah-June. “Kayleigh’s heart was made to be a mother,” the family wrote.

“Every day, she poured her whole soul into giving LJ a life full of comfort, safety, laughter, and love. The bond they shared was deep, unbreakable, and so full of the kind of love that stays with you forever,” the fundraising page continues. “Her absence leaves a void that will never be filled — but her love lives on through Lilah-June and through all the people she impacted so deeply.”

In addition to starting the fundraiser, Page’s sister Ky posted on Facebook that the family was looking for breast milk donations.

“I want to continue giving LJ the nourishment and comfort her mama worked SO HARD to provide,” Ky Page wrote in her post. “If anyone has donor breastmilk available or knows someone who might, it would mean more than you can imagine. ANY amount helps. Even just an extra bag.”

Those who can help are encouraged to contact Ky directly through Facebook.
