A Texas family is still searching for a woman who suddenly went missing on Sunday, November 3. That night, the mom left her home without her phone and car, disappearing without a trace. Nearly a week later, she remains missing.
Currently, the family has no leads as to where the woman could have gone. They don’t really know what made her leave in the first place. All they know is they want her to come home. So the search continues.

There aren't many details about the disappearance.
In a Facebook post, the Wylie Police Department explained that Melonie Ballenger was last seen at her home at 10 p.m. on November 3. The following morning, around 6:35 a.m., her husband called the police to report her missing. According to the police, Ballenger didn’t take her phone or her car when she left.
Police quickly began searching for the missing woman.
“Officers along with the help of investigators, K9 search dogs and a Texas Department of Public Safety helicopter searched the area for multiple hours but were unable to locate Melonie,” the post read. “Residents in the area are asked to review their outdoor camera footage between the hours of 12 am and 6 am to see if there is any video of Melonie in the area.”

There has been little in the way of updates.
Ballenger is approximately 5′ 7″ and weighs 135 lbs. She has black hair and brown eyes. No one knows what she was wearing when she left.
On Wednesday, November 6, police shared an update that they are “still actively searching” for the woman. “Detectives are continuing to ask residents to check their cameras and contact the Wylie Police Department with any relevant information,” they wrote.
There have been multiple searches conducted, and people are concerned.
Police shared that they passed out flyers about the missing woman to “immediate neighbors” only. “Those flyers were not meant for public release,” they added.
It seems that the general public and community at large has gotten word that Ballenger is still missing and have tried to organize their own searches.
“We are thankful for the outpouring of support, but we are requesting that no one conduct a search group on their own,” the police asked on Facebook. “We are working with K-9 teams and other searchers to canvass the area,” they explained, continuing to “thank our community for the outpouring of support.”
Melonie Ballenger's family just wants her to come home safe.
Ballenger’s husband spoke about his wife’s disappearance on November 6 during an interview with local ABC affiliate WFAA.
“If she sees this, I love her. I hope she’s safe,” he said. “Her daughters are missing her and we want her back. Please, please come home.”
