Woman Tries To Sic ‘Vicious’ Dog on Police Officers Who Pulled Her Over for DUI With Kids in the Car

Indiana police had their work cut out for them when pulling over a woman for driving under the influence. During the stop, police say Raven Luckett showed concern for the dog she had with her. She reportedly threatened to make the dog attack the police officers while they tried to arrest her, warning them not to hurt her.

Also in the car with the woman were two children. Police says she showed no concern for their well-being, first because she drove with them while drunk, and second because she never asked what would happen to them when police arrested her.

The young woman was allegedly driving while intoxicated.

Police say, 24-year-old Luckett, from Evansville, Indiana, was reported by her brother for driving with two kids in the car while drinking, WFIE reported. The officers reported that they found Luckett at a gas station. She was reportedly slurring her speech and rambling to police.

She was placed under arrest at the scene.

Luckett refused to do field sobriety tests, resulting in police placing her under arrest at the scene. As police were putting her in their car, she showed no concern for the two children in her care, ages 4 and 14, WFIE reported. Police did not report on the relationship Luckett had to either of the children she was driving around.

The woman did express concern for her dog.

In addition to the children, there was a dog in the car when Luckett was pulled over. As she was being placed in the patrol car, she warned the cops that the dog was “vicious and would attack” them. WEVV reported that Luckett kept yelling for the police not to take her dog, crying out for “Mya.”

When Luckett’s brother arrived on the scene to pick up the children, dog, and vehicle, the woman reportedly told the dog to “sic” the police officers who tried to get her car keys.

Police say that they found an open bottle of liquor in the driver’s door of the car. The woman was booked at Vanderburgh County Jail. She has been charged with neglect, intimidation, and operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
