Dad Recreates ‘Beauty and the Beast’ for His Daughter in Amazing Photo Shoot

Once upon a time, in a faraway land known as the state of Utah, there lived a father named Josh Rossi who loved his 3-year-old daughter, Nellee, with all of his heart. A photographer by trade, Josh wanted to show how much his little girl means to him, and so he set off on a journey far, far away to create the most unforgettable gift for his daughter that would become a visual tale as old as time. All fairy-tale witticism aside, this dad's *Beauty and the Beast–*inspired photo shoot with his daughter is truly unforgettable. 

Josh Rossi, of Josh Rossi Photography, is a total badass behind the lens who thinks outside the box when it comes to capturing memorable moments of his daughter Nellee. You might remember his awe-inspiring Wonder Woman photo shoot where he dressed his tot up as the iconic super heroine.

Well, now Dad is back with a Disney-inspired photo session that will take your breath away.

With the help of his wife, Roxana, Josh's Beauty and the Beast photo shoot for his 3-year-old daughter wasn't just a surprise Valentine's Day gift for his special girl, but also a priceless gesture of a father's love little Nellee will never forget.

The Meaning Behind 'Beauty and the Beast'

"The story of Beauty and the Beast has such an amazing message of true love and being accepted that I wanted to recreate the scenes with my daughter," Josh explains on his site, Full Time Photographer. "I also wanted to create something my daughter would have forever that showed the fun relationship and the love I have for her."

Josh also tells People, the movie Beauty and the Beast is one of Nellee's favorites. "The new Beauty and the Beast movie is coming out and she's obsessed with Belle from the movie," Rossi tells the mag. "She loves when the Beast comes out, when they fall in love. So I was like, 'Okay. That could be fun.'"

Traveling Across the World for the Perfect Shot

As Josh explains on his site, Full Time Photographer, he flew to Europe in order to find the best shots for his project. "After having traveled all over Europe for [one] week, I finally got all the shots I needed to create this epic Beauty and the Beast series for Nellee," Dad writes. "I shot a total of 3 castles, 5 cities and randomly stopped at small provincial villages along the way …"

The Insanity of Putting It All Together

One can only imagine how tedious and time-consuming it was for Josh to piece all his shots together to look so seamless — it definitely looks like a lot of work! "The Photoshop portion of this shoot was insane!" Josh reveals on Full Time Photographer. "I had to cut out every piece of that dang gate you see above."

Custom Gowns for a Little Princess

Fashion designer Ella Dynae bestowed Nellee with these amazing custom gowns — perfect for a little princess — according to Josh Rossi's video on his photography Facebook page. And as Dad tells People, Ella Dynae, a noted luxury children's costume designer, donated these unbelievable outfits, making the shoot extra special. "[Nellee] was over-the-top excited about the dresses," Rossi says.

The Perfect Father-Daughter Moment

No matter the distance, time, money, and effort that went into reimagining Beauty and the Beast for his child, nothing was too much for Josh's special girl. Rossi notes on Full Time Photography, "I realized that one of the most important thing we can do as parents is spend time with our kids and play a little."

We can only imagine how excited Nellee was to participate in this incredible photo shoot and see the finished product — including this unforgettable moment with Dad. Josh tells People his 3-year-old daughter was so excited to dress up as Belle and act out scenes from the movie. "While we were in studio shooting her, she wanted to reenact certain parts from the movie," Rossi explains. "She had seen it so many times that she had the dancing scene memorized. She got the most excited for that part because finally she could act out that [dancing] scene with the Beast (me)." Aww, soo cute!
