Frustrated Mom Threatens To ‘Scream’ Over Boy’s T-Shirt Section at Target in Viral TikTok

Have you ever gone into a store and looked at the selection of clothing in the kids' section? It's not usually terribly exciting. Often, stores and clothing brands stick to the same color schemes, symbols, and designs when it comes to kids' clothes. It usually works, but sometimes parents want to see a bit more than the same old thing over and over again.

TikTok mom Taylor Garner recently took to the video sharing app to vent about the issue after a recent trip to the Target boys' clothing section.

In a recent TikTok video, Garner shared her shopping frustrations with her nearly 200,000 followers.

"If I see one more dinosaur, I’m gonna scream," the text accompanying the video reads. Throughout the video, Garner is sorting through the T-shirt selection at Target, showing that nearly every shirt has either a dinosaur or a shark on it. The mom says that it's "boring."

She says that in every boys' section, it's just 'shark and dinosaur.'

@taylor.dannise Its giving, BORING! Attention stores: “BOYS CLOTHING SECTIONS NEED AN OVERHAUL!” #boysclothes #dinosaur #sharks ♬ original sound - Taylor Garner

"The boys’ section of every clothing store is going to shark and dinosaur you to death. I mean, how many variations of a T-Rex do boys need? You don’t think boys wanna wear something else other than dinosaurs and sharks?" she questioned.

Garner says stores should offer something more, even a dog — or any other type of animal at least.

Tons of her TikTok followers were in total agreement.

"And they’ve been having these same styles all year," shared one parent in the comments.

"Omg if it’s not Dino’s and sharks it’s construction vehicles which my 5 yr old loved growing up but COME ON there are so many other designs in life," shared another mom.

"Like what happened to puppies and teddy bears and frogs for boys?? I'm not even talking about the "aesthetic look" just no more dinos," shared another mom, who felt the "too much dinosaur" pain.

Girl moms also had some thoughts on the subject.

"Also, less unicorns for girls. My girl liked them when she was little, but gah. That’s most of what’s available in the big kid section, too," shared a mom online.

"That how us girl moms be feeling it’s always butterfly’s flowers unicorns mermaids and rainbows!! On EVERYTHING," a girl mom commented.

"Meanwhile my daughter is asking why she can't find sharks in girly colors. I had to search to find them," added another commenter.

Many parents wondered why the mom hadn't shopped elsewhere for a bigger variety.

Some parents gave suggestions of where Garner might be able to find more choices. Garner said in a follow-up TikTok that she appreciated all of the suggestions, but she had been shopping at Target because of its exchange program.

According to Garner, if you purchase from its Cat & Jack brand and something happens to the shirt within a year, the store will allow you to exchange it for a new one. It's really an awesome option for parents whose kids are tough on their clothes. The more you know!

We adore Target and obviously so does Garner, but we definitely get her frustration when it comes to shopping for kids.
