TikTok Mom Reveals ‘Level 3000’ Parenting Hack To Keep You From Yelling for Your Kids

You may have seen the classic sitcom bit where a parent asks one of their children to go get their sibling. Instead of moving an inch, the sibling opens their mouth wide and screams for their brother or sister to "come here." The parent, likely irritated and nursing an earache, turns to the child and says, “I could have done that.”

The point is, many parents don’t want to have to holler through the house every time they need their children. Well, one mother showed TikTok the perfect hack to remedy this problem.

This mom got tired of screaming for her kids.

LB, who goes by @lbarksdale2 on TikTok, installed three doorbells in her kitchen. Like the sitcom joke, LB got fed up of calling for her kids and decided to do something about it. The doorbells in her kitchen connect to three separate doorbells in each of her children’s rooms. In the video, LB shared how she uses them and honestly, it's genius.

Each doorbell is labeled with the child's initial.

Each doorbell is labeled with the first letter of the child’s name. When she presses the button, it helps her avoid any potential damage to her vocal chords. The device in the child’s room lights up when the doorbell has been rung.

Each child has their own customized ring, so there’s no playing like they didn’t hear their name being called.

LB called the bells a 'level 3000' parenting hack.

LB shared that you can choose from 38 different ring tones. And you can control how loud the ring is, too. LB said she and her partner made their kids keep the volumes up a little louder so that they can hear them clearly.

LB calls the doorbells which she secured for $14.99 on Amazon, a level 3000 parenting hack, and we totally agree. Who would have thought of this!?

TikTok users suggested other uses for the doorbells as well.

The TikTok community agrees this is a good one. Parents who had already implemented this hack swore by its effectiveness.

“I have this set up with my teens room so my toddler doesn't wake up if he's napping,” commented one person.

Other people made inquiries about where they could purchase them.

One user suggested that these doorbells might be a good idea for elderly family members as well: “My grandfather lived with me before he passed and he was staying in the other wing of our house and had one in his room and bathroom. They were nice!”
