There is no person more unpredictable than a toddler. They’re so cute, but they also can’t be trusted to stay out of trouble. When one mom shared a video of her toddlers’ shenanigans on TikTok, she had no idea that she was about to go viral. But once you hear the story, you’ll understand why!
While she was out of the room, her toddlers got into some dirt. Or at least, that’s what she thought. She cleaned them up, vacuumed the floor, and kept going about her business. But when she went back, she discovered that the dirt she vacuumed up wasn’t dirt, it was her dead grandfather. Her realization has given millions of people a good laugh.

The mom was in complete shock.
Mom Monica Long, who uses the TikTok handle @molo.solo, shared the 24-second video on her account, and it has now gotten hundreds of thousands of likes and comments. In the video, you can see her hand holding a plastic cross with its screw-top missing.
“The boys got PawPaw,” she can be heard saying. “They got him, and they dumped him out all over my carpet. And I didn’t realize it was PawPaw, and I vacuumed him up.”
There was one more small detail.

As if her vacuuming up her dead PawPaw wasn’t bad enough, she reveals that her sons “may have eaten some of” the ashes. One of her sons had the cap to the container in his mouth.
“F—,” she says, placing the container down on the shelf.
People were having an absolute field day in the comments.
“I mean… I mean this with absolute love, I feel like Pawpaw had a great day,” one comment reads.
“Why is paw paw in a carnival colorful sand container,” another person asked.
“Rest in the vacuum pawpaw,” someone else quipped.
“Why is no one talking about the fact that the boys MAY have eaten some of pawpaw,” a commenter inquired.

The mom knew she couldn’t keep this story to herself.
In an interview with People, Long explained that she has three sons, all of whom are autistic. “You never know what one day to the next is going to be like,” she said. Long’s two youngest sons, ages 2 and 3 are “getting into everything,” she added.
“I was cleaning and getting ready for the birthday party, to have friends over to celebrate my youngest baby. I was in the bathroom and I came out,” she said. “It took only four minutes, but there was stuff all over them and the floor. I was like, ‘Where did this dirt come from?’ I grabbed the vacuum and vacuumed it up and continued about my day.”
It was days later that the mom figured out what had happened. Her boys like to climb, and they got up to the shelf where PawPaw was. Her littlest son has recently figured out how to use his teeth to open bottles, hence the toddler having ashes all over his mouth.
“I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry,” Long admitted. Initially, she recorded the video as a message to her sister. She had no idea it would go viral.
One important person found the whole situation funny, too.

After sharing the video, Long knew she had to share the story with the rest of her family, including her MawMaw. “I called my grandmother and said, ‘MawMaw, I gotta tell you something.’ She goes, ‘Well what is it?’ I said, ‘The boys got PawPaw and they dumped him out and I didn’t realize it was him so I vacuumed him up,'” she shared.
Thankfully, MawMaw found the mishap “comical.” Long said her grandmother told her, “I bet PawPaw would have got a kick out of that,” before adding, “Don’t worry, we have more PawPaw.”
“I just never thought I’d have to tell my sweet little grandma that I vacuumed her husband up and he’s in a Shark vacuum. So she got a kick out of that and my daddy laughed too. He goes, ‘Oh gosh, it would be those two little ones that got PawPaw,'” she continued.
Long believes that her PawPaw “would have found the humor in all of this,” especially after his many years as a teacher and principal. “This would be another story for him to laugh about.”
