A TV star is shattering the stereotype that plus-size women ‘dress like slobs’

Fashion has come a long way since only offering one-size-fits-all clothes. Brands have *finally* somewhat caught on that our bodies are all different, and need to be fitted as such. But there's still lots of work to be done for plus-size women in fashion — not only in terms of what's available in stores but also how society sees the plus-size body. Some people still seem to think plus-size women should be covered up or hidden in the background.

One TV star is officially done with that ridiculous stereotype and is representing for plus-size women everywhere.

Comedian and TV star Nicole Byer has never shied away from her curvy figure, but she's anything but brave.

She's really just doing and wearing what she wants without apologizing.

Byer is currently hosting Netflix's new baking show, "Nailed It," where she's offering baking advice, jokes and body positivity.

A fan of the show recently tweeted to Byer, applauding her for owning her body and actually showing off cute fashion on TV.

The star used the opportunity to inspire other women to wear whatever makes them feel good, despite trolls' comments. "Yaaaaas wear whatever you want! Wear a bikini a crop top whatever. If someone calls you fat own it… you’re powerful," she tweeted. "Someone stopped their whole dang day to say shit to you bc you living affected them so much."

Byer's words definitely struck a chord with her followers.

She's even using ironic hashtags like "#sofatsobrave" on her Instagram feed.
