Don’t Feel Like Moving the Elf on the Shelf This Year? Put Him in ‘Quarantine’

By the time the holidays roll around, we might be all shells of the mothers we started the year out as. Our plates are way past full and the thought of adding one more thing to the list is truly torturous.

So I really, really hate to be the one to remind you — but this dude is about four weeks away from showing up again.

While I'm sure we all are happy to do something to make the holidays more magical for our kids after this craptastic year, the reality is thinking about moving that elf every day on top of work, home schooling, and general life is enough to make anyone scream.

But thankfully, some angel created a clever invention to buy us some time this season.

Introducing the Elf isolation tank. This genius little trick can be pulled at the beginning of the the holiday season when the elf arrives, and makes sure it can keep everyone happy and healthy by isolating for 14 days.

Arriving in a face mask, the elf's isolation tank has a 14 day countdown and a chalk piece to count down the days.

Not only does it help reinforce safety measures, but it gives you two solid weeks of not having to come up with poses while not disappointing your kids.

While, of course, we want our kids to have a magical holiday season, we also should be mindful of our own mental limits.

This idea feels like nice combination of the two. For any moms feeling guilty but who also know their limits, this is a great way to ease that worry. And if you think that the elf can bring some joy to the house, good on you! Either way, it's nice to know the option is there.
