Teen Mom star Amber Portwood is going through an incredibly tough time right now. Earlier this week, Amber reported that her fiancé, Gary Wayt, went missing from a small North Carolina town. As of right now, Gary remains missing, and Amber, along with his family, are doing everything they can to ensure his safe return. Thankfully, Amber doesn’t have to go through all of this alone. Reports say that fellow Teen Mom star Maci Bookout is heading to North Carolina to be by her friend’s side. Amber and Maci have been close since they both starred on the show in 2009, though Gary was only recently introduced on Teen Mom: The Next Chapter as his relationship with Amber went public.

Maci is trying to be a supportive friend.
“Maci is planning to go to North Carolina to be with Amber,” a source told Us Weekly. “Amber is alone and it’s a difficult situation that she’s been dealing with on her own for the last few days — and she really needs a friend.”
The insider added that Maci “wants to be there” for Amber as she goes through this very difficult time.
Maci isn't the only 'Teen Mom' to support Amber during this ordeal.
Amber’s Teen Mom costar and friend Catelynn Baltierra is also supporting Amber while she deals with her fiancé going missing. Catelynn took to social media to defend her friend, and addressed the rumors that Amber had something to do with Gary’s disappearance. She even shared that Amber and Gary have been engaged longer than it seems and that she and Maci were in attendance when the proposal happened.

Gary's disappearance comes as a shock.
Earlier this week, Gary Wayt was reported missing in Bryson City, North Carolina. A source explained that the couple was in town for a family wedding.
“They were spending several days in the Smoky Mountains,” the insider told Us Weekly. “On Sunday, June 9, they had a conversation that turned emotional. Gary left in the car without her and in the process, he left his cellphone behind.”
Amber broke her silence shortly after the news broke.
On Tuesday, June 11, shortly after the news of Gary’s disappearance broke, Amber used a YouTube stream to break her silence. She found YouTuber Elle Bee talking about the story, and decided to call in to offer more insight and ask for help.
“This is a huge deal, his parents, everybody is very worried. I am worried,” Amber said. “I’m trying my best to not think the worst. I have not [eaten] in three days. I slept maybe an hour.”
Amber maintains that she and Gary have a strong relationship.
Amber also addressed the “emotional” conversation she and Gary allegedly had that caused him to leave, claiming that they didn’t have an “explosive argument” before he disappeared.
“I am not what people have been saying about me all of these years. I changed a long time ago, OK, you have to understand this. Please listen to what I am saying, I am an honest person to you guys,” Amber shared. “We have not had explosive fights. We are very in love, this man asked me to be with him, this man then asked me to marry him.”
