The story of a pregnant teenager who went missing in Georgia has a tragic ending. Sixteen-year-old Mia Campos, who was due to have her first child in the fall, left her parents' home and never returned. No one knows the identity of the person she left home with, and now that she has been found dead, her family has more questions than answers.
Currently, the teen's disappearance is under investigation as her family mourns the loss of their child and her unborn child. On top of that, the girl's boyfriend, who was the father of the child she was carrying, has been taken into police custody.

The teen was found by her family and police.
Mia Campos left her home with "an unknown person" in Loganville on the evening of July 14. When she didn't return home, her family used her phone's tracking app to find her and reported the location of her body "in a wooded area just off the roadway" to police, the Gwinnett Police Department noted in a statement.
Initial evidence found at the crime scene didn't give much indication of how Campos may have died. After an autopsy was performed, however, the death was ruled a homicide.
The police have only made one arrest.
Days after finding Campos's body, the police announced that they had arrested her ex-boyfriend, Jesus Monroy.
"During that interview they determined he provided with false statements, and he was arrested in connection to providing false statements to a police officer," Sgt. Collin Flynn told Fox 5 Atlanta.
Atlanta News First reported that Campos' family confirmed Monroy was the father of her baby.
'Thank God that I found her.'
When speaking with Fox 5, Campos' father, Edward Campos, shared that he and his wife, Miriam, were the ones who found their daughter's body.
"Face down. It was hard. I knew something was wrong," Campos shared. "Her lips and her nose. They murdered my baby."
He explained that the tracking app they used helped them find her.
"Somehow we came this way, and because I didn't have a flashlight, I just had my phone. Then I said, 'She's right there.' It just broke my heart. Thank God that I found her," he said.
Her parents were surprised by the arrest.
Mia's parents told Fox 5 that Monroy had been with them for two days after her death. "We keep praying every night and that's why he came with his parents. That's why I was shocked when they sent me the notice. I was like, ‘Wow,’" Edward Campos said.
Naturally, the family still has a lot of unanswered questions.

The family is trying to pick up the pieces.
Campos, the youngest of five, was seven months pregnant and due to give birth in September to a son the family named Sebastian, according to 11 Alive.
Her mother Miriam started a GoFundMe account to help cover funeral costs for both Mia and the baby.
"I ask God to watch over her and her baby, now she and my grandson are in heaven with God. With all my heart ♥️ I ask you for help to give her and her baby a dignified burial, thanks," she wrote.
