Another day, another reason people feel they have to point fingers at a reality TV star. Audrey Roloff from Little People, Big World isn’t new to online criticism, and this latest likely isn’t going to faze her either. The mom of three shared some snippets of her life, and in doing so, she had her critics feeling some sort of way.
On March 24, Audrey made a bunch of posts to her Instagram Stories highlighting her day and the kids.
It looks like Audrey and her kids had a great time — they were playing outside in the snow and later, they all baked some treats together.
Audrey also took some time to work out, doing some yoga while her kids were around.
She shared a video of her workout that day.
In a short video clip, Audrey practices yoga, wearing tan leggings and a black tank top, recording herself doing some exercises in the house. Audrey added the caption, “Fit it in when ya can where ya can.”
While she does her thing you can see two of her kids, 2-year-old Bode and youngest son Radley, who turned 1 in November, in the video with her.
After the workout, she continued to share some videos and photos of her day.
It was the short video clip of Audrey working out, however, that had people fired up online, with some posting their concerns in a popular Reddit community. Mainly, people were really anxious about Bode playing in the background, near the fireplace, while Audrey’s back was turned to him.
“To let him play by the fire by himself would be so irresponsible,” one person wrote in the comment thread of an image shared to Reddit with the caption, “Bodi loading the fire. Hope he doesn’t drop a log in his little toes!”
The comment section made it clear that Bodi playing behind Audrey made them all uncomfortable.
“Ummm yeah so I get she's into drawing attention to herself but obvious here her kids not being watched that could be dangerous a small toddler throwing wood loosely into a fire not safe,” one person shared.
“She’s so busy in the workout he could quietly get a little too close to the fire by climbing on the ledge. One slip and it’s over,” another commenter expressed.
“Auj is so clueless,” someone else wrote. “She doesn't even see anything wrong with posting that she's letting her kid do this.”
And the concerns and hate kept coming.
“I KNOW that their kids have been raised learning about the fire and safety etc. since they could walk. So this probably feels even more normal to them,” one person prefaced a comment. “Assuming [he] isn’t putting it in the fire I don’t see the issue outside of her back to him for a second. But I’m guessing he is just putting the wood on that ledge. I’m MORE baffled by why she would post this? Like GIRL. You knew what was going to happen.”
“Why does this look like a dangerous game of sims where the parent doesn’t take care of the baby and then the house catches fire,” someone else explained.
“Kids and fire aren’t the best combo. Curiosity gets you at some point,” another concerned person commented. “And there is a much better place to stack the wood then directly in front of the fireplace.”
“Jeez they are reckless. You can’t heal 3rd degree burns with oils Audrey,” someone else shared, taking a jab at Audrey’s preferences for natural remedies as much as possible.
It’s unlikely Audrey will respond to the negative comments.
