As their divorce plays out publicly, more stories of what happened between Britney Spears and Sam Asghari behind closed doors are coming to light.
In a new episode of TMZ Investigates titled "Britney Spears: Divorce & Despair," Harvey Levin, founder of TMZ, alleges that the pair once had an "explosive" fight in a London hotel room that led to Spears needing medical attention. The series aims to paint a picture of what led to the couple’s divorce and what Spears’ life will be like now that she is single yet again.

One of their fights required a trip to the hospital.
"She and Sam were going at it in a hotel room, and it got so bad [that] she tripped and hit the coffee table, cracking her head open," Levin claimed, as reported by Page Six. "She needed stitches."
Sam claims Britney has a volatile personality.
In the episode, executive producer Charles Latibeaudiere claimed that Spears’ alleged "volatility" became "too much" for Asghari to handle after a while, which is what led him to decide to divorce the singer just 14 months after they tied the knot in an intimate wedding at their home.
Reportedly, she had a violent streak.
This isn’t the first time that there have been reports about Britney Spears' alleged propensity for violence. Sources told TMZ that during the couple’s seven years together, she was violent on more than one occasion.
Earlier this year, insiders said that Sam told friends that Britney "flew off the handle" and began punching him while he slept in their bed. Reportedly, he did not fight back but was "stunned" as the assault took place.

Insiders are already refuting these claims, though.
Sources close to Britney deny Sam’s allegations of physical assault, along with his claims that she cheated on him during their marriage.
"There was no cheating. And he’s 6'2" and she’s 5'4", so how could she attack him?" an insider said to Page Six. "The honest truth of it is that it’s complicated. This wasn’t a whiplash decision. It’s been in the works for the past month."
The former couple clearly look at their divorce differently.
When announcing their divorce, Sam posted a message to his Instagram Stories saying that he wishes her "the best always," making it sound like it might be a more amicable split than we originally thought.
Britney took a different tone when she wrote about the impending divorce, saying that she "was a little shocked" by Sam's filing, but she "couldn’t take the pain anymore."
