The past few months have been difficult for Jenelle Evans’ son Jace. The teen has run away three times in less than three months from the North Carolina property where the former Teen Mom star lives with husband David Eason and their children. His first runaway attempt came at the end of the summer, less than six months after Jenelle gained custody of him. After his most recent runaway attempt allegedly ended with David physically assaulting him, custody of Jace was turned over to Child Protective Services. Now, Jace is living with his grandmother Barbara Evans again and reportedly hasn’t spoken to Jenelle or David in weeks.

Jace has reportedly chosen to go no contact with his mom.
Both TMZ and the U.S. Sun are reporting that Jace hasn’t spoken to Jenelle or David since he was taken into the custody of CPS.
"Jace has not spoken to Jenelle since the incident, and Jenelle hasn't reached out to try to talk to him, either," an insider with knowledge of the situation told the U.S. Sun. The news outlet also reported that last month a judge told Jenelle she couldn’t speak to or see Jace unless he reached out first.
Jace is back in the care of his grandmother Barbara Evans but in CPS custody.
"He is still at Barbara's, of course, and he's enrolled in a new school," the insider said. "It sounds like Jace is doing well back with Barbara."
Before Jenelle finally regained custody of Jace in March, the 14-year-old had spent most of his life in Barbara’s care. For what it’s worth, Barbara also hasn’t had any contact with Jenelle during this time.
David Eason has been ordered to stay away from Jace completely.
Unlike his wife, David isn’t allowed contact in any form with Jace. He was charged with misdemeanor child abuse last month after he allegedly attacked the teen at someone else’s home. It was reported there were witnesses to the assault, which was documented via Ring doorbell camera footage. According to court documents, the court ruled David "willingly" caused harm to Jace.
The document read, "The defendant unlawfully and willingly did, being the parent of Jace V Evans, who was a child, less than 16 years of age, inflict physical injury on that child" that left "marks on their right arm and left and right side of the neck, and was inflicted by other than accidental means."
The allegations of child abuse are still being investigated.
Following his last runaway attempt at the end of September, Jace was taken to the hospital where he apparently told doctors, a therapist, the Columbus County sheriff, and a CPS officer that David had physically attacked him. According to close to the situation, the authorities took Jace's accusations seriously, especially after finding marks on his neck and arms.

Jenelle and David's other children are being questioned by CPS about possible abuse.
The U.S. Sun reported that CPS is conducting a much deeper investigation into Jenelle and David's home, attempting to talk to their other children, who include Kaiser, whom Jenelle shares with ex Nathan Griffith; Maryssa, David's daughter from a previous relationship; and Ensley, their only child together.
CPS ordered Jenelle to bring both Kaiser and Ensley in for questioning, reportedly scolding her for making it so difficult for the department to have access to the children. "Everyone is sitting tight and hoping more will be revealed since Jace was removed," a source told the news outlet.
