Make the 4th of July More Festive With This $13 Hair Glitter Stick Shoppers Call ‘So Cute’ and ‘Easy’

We live in a rural area in the Midwest, so every year on the 4th of July, we celebrate by watching our small town’s annual parade.

My girls, especially, love to dress up for the parade and festivities, so when I spotted this 4th of July hair glitter stick, I knew it would be the perfect festive touch to add.

The 4th of July glitter is an assortment of festively red, white, and blue sequins on a convenient glue stick, so you can apply it anywhere you’d like, such as the hair or face.

What stuck out to me about the hair stick is that it’s self-adhesive so there’s no messing with glue or trying to strategically apply glitter or shake it over a kid’s hair, arms, or face and hope it sticks — just roll it on where you want a magical dusting of red, white, and blue.

According to the product description, the glitter can be safely used anywhere on the body, including the hair.

I will say that $13 is a little more than I wanted to spend on a stick of hair glitter, but I did some digging and although you can find the same glitter stick a little cheaper elsewhere, such as through Walmart, you have to pay shipping, so the cost averages out to be about the same.

The reviews are positive, with customers saying the hair glitter stick is the ideal festive touch for the 4th of July, although some note that if you use the glitter on your child’s face, it can rub off, so you may want to reapply or plan on applying right before you celebrate so it doesn’t get wiped off.

Influencers have also been sharing the 4th of July hair glitter stick, showing off how cute it looks in their kids’ hair.

According to the Amazon listing, the glitter will wash out of hair with normal shampooing, and @itschelsigregory explained in the comments of her post that it took two washes with shampoo to remove the glitter from her daughter’s hair.

“Basically, if you’re looking for a great sparkle that might last for an hour or so, or if you have some magical skin adhesive to secure it with, this stuff looks great and doesn’t seem to have sensitive chemicals,” summed up one Amazon shopper. “Just don’t put it near your child’s eyes.”
