Gypsy-Rose Just Launched a Passion Project That Has Nothing To Do With Murder or Men

Gypsy-Rose Blanchard’s life has changed a lot since her 2023 release from prison. She underwent a rhinoplasty, unveiled a dental transformation, got divorced, reconnected with boyfriend Ken Urker, and became a mom, among other significant changes. Now, she’s shared another major update — one that comes from a desire for more privacy.

Gypsy-Rose has updated her social media pages.

Gypsy-Rose has officially rebranded her social media pages to focus more on her art instead of her personal life. Under the the name BlownBeauty Art, she’s now promoting her “original abstract art” on TikTok and Instagram. In a video shared on August 3, Gypsy said, “I am the artist behind BlownBeauty Art, and I’m excited to share with everybody my creations.”

She went on to explain that she has enjoyed painting for a long time now and “just started getting back into it.”

“Art is something that I think resonates with a lot of people,” Gypsy continued. “Because with abstract art, it doesn’t have to be perfect, and I’ve never been one of those girls that colored inside the lines.”

She says she’s ‘more than happy’ to share her ‘passion’ with her followers.

Via her Instagram page, Gypsy-Rose has shared photos of several different paintings she created. In an update shared to her Instagram Stories on August 5, she wrote, “More beautiful and creative designs coming soon.”

When she announced her new endeavor, she also opened up about what motivates her to create and share art. “It gives me peace and it kind of centers me,” Gypsy said. She added, “In life we go through things that [are] sometimes really hard, and so if we can find one thing that brings us peace, and centers us inside our soul, then it’s worth doing, and sharing.”

Gypsy-Rose explained that she’s tired of being judged.

Gypsy-Rose is a victim of factitious disorder imposed on another, formerly called Munchausen syndrome by proxy. According to Cleveland Clinic, FDIA is when a caretaker claims that someone under their care needs medical attention when they don’t. It’s considered abuse. Gypsy-Rose served eight years in prison for her role in the murder of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard, who is believed to have had FDIA.

During a recent interview, Gypsy-Rose told People that she doesn’t want to be defined by her past. “I decided to shift gears because I got tired of people constantly tying my name to my past,” she said of her decision to share her art via social media. “I’ve started to crave a more private life and wanted to redirect my energy toward something that truly brings me peace and creating art does that for me.”

In the past, Gypsy-Rose also admitted that she struggled to cope with the kind of attention she received after getting out of prison. “Coming out of prison I got on social media and there were all these people judging me and basically making me a celebrity overnight,” Gypsy-Rose said on Tori Spelling’s misSPELLING podcast. “I’m not a celebrity, I don’t think of myself as a celebrity, I’m just a person and I didn’t expect to come out to such a big platform.”
