One year after Jana Duggar and Stephen Wissmann quietly tied the knot, the couple has a big announcement to share. On August 18, 2025, Jana announced that she’s expecting her first baby with Stephen, sharing the news in the most adorable Instagram post that showed off her baby bump for the very first time. It’s been a long time coming!
Jana’s announcement came as a total surprise.
Jana shared a few photos from what appears to be a maternity shoot, posing with Stephen (and her baby bump) while wearing a green dress.
“We are so excited, January 2026 is going to come with a little bundle of joy joining our family!” she wrote in her caption. “We’re counting down the days and eagerly looking forward to this thrilling new chapter in our lives!”
Fans are over the moon for her.
Of course, members of Jana’s family commented about their excitement — including her sisters Jill and Jessa — but mostly, her comments are already flooded with well-wishes from fans who have been looking forward to seeing Jana become a mom for a long time.
“Why do I feel like I just found out a good friend is pregnant? Congratulations! This news made my day,” one fan wrote.
Another one of Jana’s followers commented, “I feel like there’s no one on this earth more deserving to be a parent!”
She and Stephen celebrated their first anniversary on August 15.
Days before Jana announced the exciting news, she shared the way that she and Stephen celebrated their first wedding anniversary together: going out for a fancy dinner, followed by ice cream.
“Just celebrated one year of marriage with my favorite person, and it has been the best year! I look forward to many more years together!” she wrote.
The dad-to-be is excited, too.
Stephen shared their pregnancy announcement in an Instagram post of his own, adding in his Stories, “Excited to share God is sending us a new little bundle of joy in January 2026!”
Over the weekend, he also paid tribute to Jana and their first year of marriage in a sweet Instagram post, writing, “I know this is a day late, but yesterday I was SO blessed to have celebrated one year of life and marriage with my best friend! Thru the ups and downs, life with you only keeps getting better and better!”
