Just when it seemed like things were calming down for Teen Mom star Jenelle Evans, her parenting is once again being called into question — this time, by her own son. On Tuesday, Jenelle’s son Jace exposed their private text messages online, claiming that his mom is “unstable” and that he wants to show people “how my mother really is.”
Jace shared the messages on his Instagram account.
Though the screenshots have since been deleted, The Ashley’s Reality Roundup captured them while they were still live, and the texts showed a few exchanges between Jace and his mom. In his caption, Jace wrote, “I am finally putting out how my mother really is.
In one of their conversations, Jenelle appears to have written to Jace, “Your[e] the one saying you’re going to have my custody taken. F— YOU.”
“Got it. Thank you,” Jace said, to which Jenelle responded, “you won’t get a damn thing from me anymore including a phone.”
In the texts, Jenelle claimed that Jace lied about her ex-husband, David Eason, strangling him.
At one point in their alleged conversation, Jenelle texted Jace, “Just like the way you lied about David strangling you. You make things worse on yourself.”
Jace wrote back, “I never lied,” later adding, “OK nice yea u were standing there yelling in my face cussing me out just watching things happen.”
Jenelle has already responded publicly.
“Jace posting our private texts was his reaction to being rightfully disciplined and while it hurts to see those moments shared publicly, I know it comes from a place of struggle,” Jenelle wrote in a post on her Instagram Stories later on Tuesday. “Navigating Jace’s different medical diagnoses has not been easy but I have never stopped fighting to make sure he has the resources, love and support he needs. I will always stand by him, no matter what challenges come our way.”
She asked for fans to give her family “grace.”
In her next post, she referenced Jace’s “trouble with the law” and asked her fans for understanding.
“Recently he’s also been in trouble with the law these past few months and is having a hard time adjusting to the rules set before him,” Jenelle wrote. “I’ve been trying everything to help him navigate it but we are butting heads in the process. Please give us grace at this time. This is hard on all of us.”
