At this point, Brittany Mahomes is probably no stranger to receiving all kinds of flak online, and now, another round is coming her way. After Brittany shared the good news that she was inducted into the hall of fame at her alma mater, people rushed to mock her for everything from her appearance at the event to the fact that she was invited to be part of a hall of fame at all, despite the fact that she also received plenty of love from her friends and family, including husband Patrick Mahomes.
Brittany shared photos from the event over the weekend.
In a post that the 30-year-old shared on Instagram, she showed off her new award after she was inducted into Athletics Hall of Fame at the college she attended, the University of Texas at Tyler, along with photos of Patrick celebrating with her.
“Truly honored to be inducted into the UT Tyler Athletics Hall of Fame! This City and this School is a huge part of who I am today, I will forever cherish this honor and am forever grateful for what this program did for me as an athlete and as a person!” she wrote in her caption. “Coach Webb, you brought out the best in me, this doesn’t happen without you!”
She also shared in another post that she brought the school’s women’s soccer team on to the Team Mahomes brand, which means that they received all new kits from Adidas.
People mocked her relentlessly for her look that evening.
While Brittany received plenty of support and congratulations on Instagram, that wasn’t the case over on Reddit, where critics gathered to trash everything from the way she did her makeup for the ceremony to her appearance in general.
“Seriously..this is a look that just screams ”I am Brittany Mahomes; clueless, classless but my husband, Patrick, buys me awards, SI Photo shoots, new bolt-on boobs. I am special,'” one person wrote.
Another added, “There is nothing this girl can do now or could have done before to be attractive. It’s just not happening, I mean it sucks for her but damn girl just go be a decent person or something so it’s not a total wash.”

Some people didn’t think she deserved an honor like this one in the first place.
Others simply questioned why Brittany would be given a spot in the hall of fame in the first place, with more than one hinting that it had more to do with Patrick being her husband than anything Brittany has accomplished on her own.
One person even called it a “dumb participation award … from a smaller branch campus team sucking up to Patti for a massive donation.”
To be totally fair, Brittany has made her contributions to athletics. As The Spun reported, she is the second highest performing soccer player at that school, and today, she’s owner of the KC Current, a women’s soccer team in Kansas City. Say what you want, but she’s leaving a mark — with or without her husband’s help.
