On the May 13 episode of New Heights, the podcast that he hosts with his brother Jason Kelce, Travis divulged that he was just recently in London. If you’ve been checking out the paparazzi footage, you’ll know that he was there with his fiancée, Taylor Swift.
During this clip shared on TikTok, Jason Kelce can be seen teasing his brother that he found out he was visiting London “on the internet.” Travis quickly tells his co-host that “London is fun.” When Jason asks him what he got up to on his trip and if there was anything “stereotypically British” about it, Travis says, “For the most part, [we] had some really good food and enjoyed some plays.”
He goes on to share that they went to see Romeo & Juliet, which is making waves in the West End — which is basically London’s equivalent to Broadway in New York — which is currently starring Sadie Sink as Juliet. For a cool connection, Sadie starred in Taylor Swift’s “All Too Well: The Short Film” in 2021.
If you’re someone just hearing about the couple’s trip casually, it all sounds pretty good. But perhaps we need to go a bit deeper.
After scoping out some travel photos, some people online aren’t convinced that the couple have any real chemistry.
In this Reddit thread that shares some photos of Taylor and Travis out and about during their trip to London, the person who posted the thread couldn’t help but share their thoughts. They captioned the thread with: “Taylor and Travis spotted in London and the chemistry is oh wait, you’re telling me there was chemistry to begin with? Because why do they look like they just got out of jury duty 😭 . I’ve genuinely seen more romantic tension between people waiting in line at the DMV.”
Unfortunately, they weren’t the only ones who felt this way. With over 800 comments in this thread, there is plenty of criticism on the lack of chemistry some people interpret between the couple. One person shared this comical perspective, “They have all the sexual tension of two siblings who just left the morgue to identify the body of a dead parent.”
Another person wondered, “Do they even like each other??” Another commented on their very awkward looking hand-holding. They wrote, “If my husband held my hand like that, he would never hold my hand again.” Another individual seemed to take things even further and question their upcoming nuptials. “This wedding will be THE biggest mistake of their lives…just watch,” they wrote.
This is not the first time that the couple has faced these accusations.
In this Reddit thread created a year ago, the individual who created the thread shared a photo of Taylor and Travis at a party and captioned it with, “They’re business partners. Nothing more, nothing less.” That is a mighty big accusation!
One person shared a rather twisted view by commenting, “They both look a mess here. Maybe they deserve each other idk🫣.” There were lots of others in the Reddit comments who just don’t see any heat between these two people.
One individual brought up Taylor’s beloved cats. They wrote, “She has more chemistry with her cats than she does with Travis.” Another person criticized how the couple was posing. “He should’ve put his arm around her waist 😭 but yeah that feels too intimate if they are business partners lmao,” they commented.
Another person commented that it’s not just Travis that Taylor appears to be awkward or uncomfortable with in photos. “The vast majority of her public boyfriends she’s paraded around have felt very awkward and forced, like something is just off about it. This relationship probably takes the cake on that though,” they wrote. Interesting take.
