Brittany Mahomes Wants Her Kids to See Both Her & Their Dad ‘Conquering the World’

Now that Brittany Mahomes is a mom, she’s extremely determined to achieve her goals. She hopes that doing so will set a positive example for her kiddos. The former soccer player and Kansas City Current co-owner recently spoke to Yahoo Entertainment about why she feels it’s so important for her kids to see her pursuing her own dreams.

This is a topic Brittany has touched on before. Given that their dad, Patrick Mahomes, is a professional football player, they’ll likely already see that achieving your dreams is possible. And while that’s great, Brittany has said that she wants their children to see both of their parents going after what they want.

During an earlier interview, Brittany explained why this matters to her.

In 2024, she told Yahoo! Life that she knows her kids get to witness their dad doing what he enjoys. She wants them to see their mom doing the same thing. “At the end of the day, my kids are watching me, and I want them to know that I’m working hard. I’m out here doing things as well, because they noticed their dad’s gone all the time,” she said, per Us Weekly. “And he’s working hard and doing stuff that he loves. So, I want them to see both of us going out and conquering the world.”

Brittany and Patrick have three kids: Sterling, 5, Bronze, 3, and Golden, 16 months.

Motherhood has made her more ambitious.

During her recent interview with Yahoo Entertainment, Brittany explained that her priorities shifted after becoming a mom. “Being a mom changed so many things in my life and changed how I looked at so many things,” she told the news outlet. “It really reshaped and redefined a lot of things in my life.”

These changes include being more “intentional” and “purposeful,” which means she’s better at saying no to things that don’t align with her values and also more focused on achieving what she wants to achieve.

She said she’s “more motivated to keep going and keep showing my kids that there are no boundaries in front of you.” And as they see their mom going after her goals, she hopes they’ll learn: “You can achieve anything. You can be a part of anything that you want to. You need to dream big and understand that you have to work hard and do the hard things to do the fun things.”

Right now, this includes working as the New Fans Correspondent for Yahoo during the World Cup.

The Yahoo Entertainment report noted that Brittany’s eldest child, Sterling, gets to watch her dad play for the Kansas City Chiefs, but more recently, she watched her mom work on a video educating people about the world of soccer.

Brittany told the news outlet that her daughter was really curious about what she was doing that day. “She wanted to be a part of mommy’s work and see what I do,” she said.

Brittany frequently shares family updates on social media. On Father’s Day, she shared a sweet video in which Sterling, Bronze, and Golden all answered questions about their dad.

“To the dad that sacrifices so much for this family, Happy Fathers Day!” she captioned the post. “The hours of sleep you give up to be with us, the advice you give these kiddos, the calmness you bring to this family, nothing is ever taken for granted. We are so beyond blessed to have you🥹🤍🙏🏼 We Love you!!!!”
