Nearly 30 years after they tied the knot, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith‘s marriage continues to baffle people on a regular basis. It’s not that they don’t make a cute couple — they definitely do — but their confessions about their relationship over the past several years have been a bit hard to grasp. And now, after a recent interaction between the two is going viral, fans are wondering why they haven’t just gotten divorced already.
They were spotted together at Paris Fashion Week.

The video was taken as Will and Jada arrived at the Christian Louboutin’s Menswear Spring/Summer 2027 show on June 24, where they were supporting their son, Jaden Smith, who is the brand’s creative director.
But instead of seeing two proud parents in this video, people just saw a married couple who can’t stand each other. Will might be all smiles, but Jada looks like she’d rather be anywhere else. Even though she still takes his arm as they walk side by side, she looks like she’s sending daggers of hate to him through her eyes.
People are convinced that Jada “hates” her husband.

On X, people shared a lot of strong opinions about the moment captured on video, and many of them are convinced that Will and Jada should just cut their losses and go their separate ways if they look this unhappy together.
“Two people that can’t stand each other,” one person wrote.
Others think the reason Jada looks so sour is because Will’s celebrity status is eclipsing hers. “He shines too much for her. Man’s practically the center of attention wherever they go. While she’s apparently losing the battle with age,” one person wrote. “What did you think the August Alsina thing was about?”
The footage Will shared from that night couldn’t be more different.
In this video from Fashion Week, everyone in their family — Will and Jada included — look as happy and excited as can be, so maybe the camera caught them in a bad moment?
And yes, their marriage truly has proven to be controversial, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t happy with their choice to stay together despite the ups and downs. Even just a short video can’t show a real picture of what someone’s marriage is like.
Who knows? Maybe Will spent too much time in the bathroom right before they were supposed to walk out the door and made them late to the show. He wouldn’t be the first husband guilty of that!
