The Kansas City Chiefs are preparing for the football season ahead, which means that Patrick Mahomes and his teammates are currently at training camp, living away from home and working out on the field.
But his wife, Brittany Mahomes, made sure that her kids could still see their dad anyway by bringing them out to the camp herself. She might have just been missing her husband, but others are really judging her for this.

Chiefs’ training camp kicked off on July 28, a few weeks after tight end Travis Kelce’s wedding to Taylor Swift. Now, the team is back at work, warming up for the NFL season at Missouri Western State University in Saint Joseph, Missouri. During this time, players live in dorms at the practice facility while they’re at the camp, which runs until August 20.
This means that Patrick has been living in the dorms and away from his kids, and it’s not unthinkable that Brittany would want to go see her husband at training camp and let her kiddos see their dad for a bit if he’s not coming home at night.
But some of Brittany’s harshest critics don’t quite see it that way.
People are sending a lot of eye rolls her way for this.
The snark toward Brittany is real on Reddit, where people are calling her out for being attention seeking, knowing she’d be photographed there.
Others think she needs to do her own thing without worrying about Patrick while he’s at camp.
“Can this woman ever just focus on herself and the kids instead of constantly chasing her man around? Seriously it’s so pathetic,” one person wrote. “Is Sterling in any extracurricular activities as she is old enough to be in? She has to realize these kids won’t be babies that she can flash for a photo op and hand back to nannies forever.”
Another added, “Brittany is working hard to get back to being seen!”
Family members aren’t banned from training camp.
Even though some headlines have made it seem like Brittany “snuck” into training camp, that’s not the case — the Chiefs have many practices that are open to the public during this time, so not only are she and her kids able to go visit Patrick, so are other football fans who want to check out how the team is doing.
Plus, this seems like a pretty easy outing for her to bring her young kids on if she was looking for a way to keep them busy, especially if they were missing Dad. The real intent behind her camp visit is truly anyone’s guess.
