Alabama Barker has never been afraid to shut down the critics who body shame her on social media, and now, she’s doing the same for her stepmom. After online trolls called Kourtney Kardashian “short and frumpy” after seeing an outfit she wore on the red carpet this week, Alabama wasted zero time coming to Kourtney’s defense. This girl does not play about her family!
The drama unfolded in the comments section of a TikTok video.
Earlier this week, Kourtney, Travis, and Travis’ three kids took on the red carpet of the premiere for his Hulu documentary, Travis Barker: Louder Than Fear, and that included his daughter, Alabama. For the occasion, Kourtney wore a black, lacy, vintage St. Laurent dress, and as a post on Reddit pointed out, not everybody was a big fan of her look.
In the comments of a TikTok video that featured footage from the premiere, someone who wasn’t very impressed with Kourtney wrote, “[Kourtney] looks terrible, to [sic] short and frumpy.”
It looks like if you want to get to Kourtney these days, you’ll have to go through Alabama first, because she had no issue responding to the hater, writing, “Samantha u couldn’t look as good as her on your birthday!”

People think it’s sweet that Alabama stuck up for her stepmom.
Not only are fans discussing how ridiculous this kind of criticism is against Kourtney (how can an outfit make someone look short who actually is short?), but it isn’t lost on them that she and Alabama must share a pretty tight bond.
“Honestly, their whole blended family is so endearing,” one person wrote. “They’re always spending time together doing the most wholesome s— like going to Disneyland, watching concerts, biking, drinking matcha, and just going on hikes and adventures together. Weirdly rooting for them.”
Another wrote, “Love Kourt’s relationship with Alabama and Landon.”
Alabama and Kourtney have always seemed pretty close.
When Alabama turned 20 in December, Kourtney shared the sweetest message for her on Instagram, writing, “Alabama !! 20 💘 known you since 8! May this next year be filled with love and peace and laughter✨happy birthday … I love you and all our laughs!”
On an episode of The Kardashians that aired last year, Kourtney spoke about her bond with Alabama after her stepdaughter asked her to film an intro for her Twitch channel.
“Alabama and I are super close, I’ve known her since she was 8 years old,” Kourtney said on the show. “I love being there for her to support her. I love that she asked me, that she thinks I’m cool enough to be in her video.”
It is pretty sweet to see them having such a solid relationship. Kourtney has been around for most of Alabama’s life, after all.
