Two months after the birth of her third child, son Finn, Jinger Duggar is opening up about her postpartum body image. In what she admitted was a “vulnerable post” for her to make on Instagram, Jinger shared the ways that how she feels about her body after having a baby have changed from her first pregnancy to today. Many new moms out there are probably going to be able to relate to the former Counting On star.
Jinger shared a photo of herself in a dressing room.

Jinger wrote that she was inspired to share how she’s feeling about the way she looks these days after her latest date night with husband Jeremy Vuolo included shopping for clothes that “work for me in this postpartum season.”
She looks happy in the photo, but she went on to admit that she didn’t always feel that way about changes to her body and her weight.
She admitted she felt ‘strange’ during her first pregnancy.
Jinger has been open in the past about struggling with an eating disorder in her younger years and having to learn to have a more healthy outlook on her body and exercise. That meant that when she was pregnant for the first time with her eldest daughter, Felicity, it was a bit of a “strange” experience to “gain so much weight and actually be okay with it.”
“I gained at least 45 pounds with each of my pregnancies, even while staying active and healthy,” she wrote. “It was another opportunity to let go of my expectations of what I ‘should’ look like.”
Now, Jinger is feeling ‘so much joy.’
“I still have a soft tummy and lingering pounds, but I’m genuinely happy,” she concluded her post. “I’m not worrying or stressing about it — instead, I’m embracing the gift and beauty of this moment in my life.”
She has been prioritizing self care during this time.
On the same day, Jinger shared in her Instagram Stories that she was looking for skin care options that didn’t involve Botox and showed off the red light therapy mask she’d been using.
In those early postpartum days, every bit of self-care that a new mom can fit into her schedule can make a huge difference. Way to go, Jinger!
