Khloé Kardashian has once again found herself in the center of controversy. Though fans always look forward to the Kardashian fam's Halloween costumes every year, this time around, it seems that many believe Koko's missed the mark. After debuting her Bratz doll costume on Tuesday, Khloé is being accused of "blackfishing" after many people believe that she appeared to have made her skin darker for the costume, and they are not holding back in the comments of her latest Instagram posts.

Khloé shared her costume in a series of Instagram posts.
Khloé and her group of friends — which included sister Kim Kardashian — all posed together in their costumes, which matched the outfits and makeup commonly seen on the Bratz dolls that were ultra-popular in the early 2000s.
She wore a plaid yellow dress and matching hat, sporting the overlined lips all of the Bratz dolls have always shared.
Her followers pointed out that her skin appeared darker.
And some even pointed out that she didn't even look recognizable here — not because she was wearing a costume, but because of her darker skin color.
"OMG black fishing Bratz doll I don't remember that one," one commenter wrote.
Another person write, "I love u Khlo but this ain’t it! U didn’t have to become darker to be a Bratz doll."
Khloé's costume received a similar response elsewhere on social media.
Some of her critics took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to share their thoughts on Khloé's outfit.
"I am a huge Bratz fan & I truly like #KhloeKardashian … still there are so many Bratz dolls and you can dress like Yasmine of the Bratz without darkening your skin," one person wrote.
Another tweet kept it all pretty simple: "That is neither Khloé Kardashian or a Bratz doll."
Others defended the costume.
"Everyone is being so mean to Khloé Kardashian about her Halloween costume," one fan tweeted. "Her makeup looks like a Bratz doll, it's supposed to be exaggerated and big. Same ppl pretend to care that she gets bullied, but take any chance to tear down her appearance."

So far, Khloé hasn't spoken out about the controversy.
Adopting someone else's culture or race for a costume is never OK, and if nothing else, hopefully Khloé's misstep will help make that (even more) obvious to others before next Halloween comes around. Bratz dolls of different skin tones do exist, after all.
