Kris Jenner Admits That Christmas Can Be Pretty Chaotic With 13 Grandchildren

Kris Jenner is getting ready to celebrate Christmas with her 13 grandchildren. Though she loves holidays, she admits that hosting so many children for Christmas can be chaotic. However, Kris, 69, has accepted that this is simply reality when there are so many kids in the house. “I just have to take a deep breath and realize I’m outnumbered,” she told People during a recent interview.

The Kardashian-Jenner family spends Christmas morning at her house.

During the interview with People, Kris described herself as “a holiday girl.” When it comes to celebrating Christmas (or any special occasion, really), the Kardashian-Jenner family likes to go all out. “We go for it. We go really hard,” Kris told the publication.

Although she loves celebrating holidays in general, Christmas is special to Kris because it was “such a big deal” in her house when she was growing up, she explained to People. There’s some debate about when it’s appropriate to start preparing and decorating for Christmas. While some families wait until after Thanksgiving to put up their Christmas trees, Kris admittedly put hers up the day after Halloween.

Celebrating Christmas with her family is 'so much fun.'

Kris has embraced the chaos that comes with having 13 grandkids. “You can’t control that kind of chaos,” she admitted when speaking to People. The Kardashian-Jenner family has also come up with a convenient way for the grandchildren to share their Christmas lists with their grandmother. “We have this family chat going around,” Kris explained to E! News. In the chat, Kris’ kids will share their kids’ Christmas lists.

Based on their Christmas lists, Kris has noticed that some of her grandkids are 'growing up.'

Kris’ youngest grandchild, Rocky Thirteen Barker, is now 1 year old. Her oldest grandchild, Mason Dash Disick, is 14. Looking at the kiddos’ Christmas lists has made it clear that some of them are growing up, Kris told E! News.

“They’re loving new things,” she said. “One year, they’ll be into a certain type of doll. And then, you clearly see that shift when it’s the following Christmas.”

The Kardashian-Jenner family also hosts a lavish party on Christmas Eve.

Last year, Kim Kardashian hosted the family’s annual Christmas Eve soirée. Kim transformed her home into a winter wonderland with fake snow, silver and gold decor, Christmas trees, and a life-size gingerbread house. In 2019, Kris got emotional when talking about the family’s Christmas tradition on Keeping Up With the Kardashians

“I want you guys to be able to do this until you’re my age and one of your kids takes over. That’s the joy,” Kris said to her kids. However, the “thought of actually not doing it at [her] house” made her “so sad.” To Kris, the Christmas celebration is more than a party.

“It’s just that magic that you can make, and make everybody feel so amazing on one night a year,” she said at the time. “It’s that love.”
