Kylie Jenner Slammed for ‘Insanely Disgusting’ New Makeup Ad

Kylie Jenner is bringing the King Kylie era back in honor of the Kylie Cosmetics 10 year anniversary … but some fans aren’t as happy about the news as others. In fact, after Kylie shared a promotional video for her new collection, people are calling her “tone deaf” — and those types of comments might be coming from the ones who are taking it easy on her.

Over the weekend, Kylie took to Instagram to thank her fans for their support over the last decade as she announced the new collection of make up products, including her famous lip kits.

“I’ve seen all your messages asking for a King Kylie collection, the fearless era that had a dream at just 17 years old! .. and that’s why I posted that tweet back in 2022,” she wrote. “I wanted to give you exactly what you’ve been waiting for.”

She premiered the first promo video for the collection on Snapchat, which featured a clip of Kylie in handcuffs (and scantily clad) being walked into a jail cell by two prison guards.

Some people weren’t impressed by the imagery Kylie used for the ad, and as Page Six pointed out, those fans took their opinions to a popular Kardashians subreddit.

“The country’s boiling over, citizens being dragged off by rogue badge hungry rent-a-cops, and Kylie Jenner drops a handcuffed hot-pants photoshoot to promote COSMETICS. This isn’t satire; it’s American rot,” one person wrote alongside a screenshot of Kylie in handcuffs from the video.

Many agreed, with one responding, “this is insanely disgusting, and i didnt even think about how deeply out of touch this was til I read your title for this post.”

Another user wrote, “Distasteful doesn’t even begin to cover it.”

Others were more focused on the fact that Kylie made her singing debut in the ad, performing a verse on Terror Jr.’s song “Fourth Strike.”

“We don’t need another wannabe singer. We already have dozens of them,” one critic posted on X, while another added, “King Kylie coming back is a recession indicator.”

The collection goes on sale online on October 18, so it won’t be long before we get to see if these opinions have an impact on Kylie’s bottom line.
