This is a celebrity wedding we didn’t see coming. Late on the evening of September 26, news broke that 39-year-old “Summertime Sadness” singer Lana Del Rey is officially a married woman after secretly tying the knot in Louisiana with alligator boat tour guide Jeremy Dufrene. Photos of the bride have already leaked online, and fans have a lot of feelings about this development.

Photos published by the Daily Mail show Lana in a floor length white wedding gown as she and Jeremy appeared to be tying the knot.
According to People, the wedding took place at the public bayou in Des Allemandes, Louisiana, where the groom works as an airboat captain.
Her family was on hand for the festivities.
Daily Mail also reported that Lana was walked down the aisle by her father, Robert Grant. Her mom, Patricia Hill, sister Caroline, and brother Charlie, were there to see Lana get married, too.
Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed a reception under white tents by the water, reportedly adding a light blue ribbon to her hair as her “something blue.”
Lana and Jeremy obtained a marriage license earlier this week.
On Thursday, TMZ was the first to report that Lana and Jeremy picked up their marriage license from the Lafourche Parish Clerk of Court on Monday, which was the first clue that this wedding would be happening soon. And since Lana did not announce her engagement, the news came as quite a shock to fans.
“After marrying an alligator tour guide I just know Lana Del Rey’s music will go crazy,” one fan posted on X (formerly Twitter).
Lana and Jeremy have known each other for at least five years.
In May 2019, Lana shared photos with Jeremy on Facebook after she went out on an airboat tour with him and some friends. It’s not clear if this was the first time they met, though.
“Jeremy lemme be captain at Arthur’s Air Boat Tours,” she captioned the photos.
Less than a month ago, Lana denied that she was dating Jeremy.
After the Instagram account Just N Life shared screenshots of a girl claiming to be Jeremy’s daughter on X, Lana took to the comments on August 31 to set the record straight — or at least, it seemed that way at the time.
Not only did Lana say that the girl from X wasn’t Jeremy’s child, she also issued what appeared to be a response to the statement that he was her “boyfriend,” simply commenting, “no.”
Looks like the cat (or should we say the alligator?) is out of the bag now!
