Pete Davidson is taking a break to put himself and his well-being first. This week, People confirmed that the former Saturday Night Live star checked into a wellness facility to seek treatment for his mental health following what has been a very busy year. This isn't the first time Pete has spent time in a center like this — in fact, his most recent stay took place last year.

Pete is using this opportunity to take care of himself.
According to what a source close to the comedian told People, Pete's mental health has "always been a priority" for him, so now, he's just continuing to do what's right for him.
The news outlet also points out that Pete's coming off of a tour of more than 200 stand-up shows all over the United States following the release of his Netflix special in January, so to say it's been a hectic year for Pete would probably be an understatement.
Pete's focus has been staying sober.
The source went on to say that Pete has stayed committed to his sobriety — something his loved ones are very proud of him for being able to do.
There's no word on exactly what may have happened behind the scenes to inspire Pete to take this step.
This isn't Pete's first stint in a treatment center.
Most recently, Pete checked into a rehab center last year due to issues related to borderline personality disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder. People reported that after he was released, Pete joked about taking ketamine daily for four years during a stand-up set in Atlantic City, calling the drug "magical."

This news comes shortly after his split with Madelyn Cline.
Until just a few weeks ago, Pete had been dating the Outer Banks star for 10 months before they decided to go their separate ways.
"Pete and Madelyn's relationship has been on and off for months and an ever-changing thing," a source told Entertainment Tonight at the time. "Things have fizzled out and they are no longer seeing one another."
Pete hasn't spoken out about the situation himself.
There aren't any details about what triggered him to get help or how long he will be spending in treatment. But in the hours before the news broke, his upcoming shows in Florida and New Jersey, which were set to take place in August and September, were canceled "due to scheduling conflicts."
