News broke on Tuesday that Bryan had died.

His family confirmed his death in a statement issued to People, writing, "Bryan chose early to keep his journey with ALS private and those of us who cared for him did our best to honor his request. We are immensely grateful to the tireless doctors who navigated the landscape of this illness with us and to the astounding nurses who became our roommates, often sacrificing their own families to be with ours. At this time we ask for privacy to grieve and to come to terms with the impossibility of saying goodbye to Bryan."
Sandra and Bryan had been dating since 2015, and she had been coordinating his care as he battled ALS.
Now, we know more about Sandra and Bryan's relationship.
According to what an insider told the Daily Mail, close friends and family were invited to an intimate ceremony on the beach in the Bahamas in December 2021. There, they "quietly exchanged vows," though the ceremony was not legally binding.
"It was Bryan's birthday on December 31 so it's like they wanted to celebrate everything all at once," the source said.
The couple kept their attire casual.
The bride wore a dress and flip flops, with her hair in braids, and the groom wore a button-down shirt, casual black pants, flip flops, and a baseball cap. Reportedly, the ceremony is what really made them feel like a family, including Sandra's two children.
"They really did this for the children, to kind of seal the deal and show them this was a forever thing," the insider shared. "After the ceremony Louis and Laila started calling Bryan dad."

Sandra did her best to keep Bryan's battle with ALS private.
"Sandra kept Bryan hidden away in the back of the house. It's so big that you could conceal what was going on with him but towards the end she really didn't let people into the home beyond the doctors and nurses who were looking after him," the source said.
"It was quite convenient for them to have these rumors that they'd broken up because it helped conceal what was really going on," the insider added. "It was easier to let people assume they hadn't seen him because they were no longer together."
They were reportedly 'more together than ever' when he died.

It sounds like Sandra stayed committed to the very end.
"It was just a horrible situation for them all but she didn't abandon him no matter how tough it got," the insider said.
