Believe it or not, the babies originally featured on MTV's 16 & Pregnant and Teen Mom are officially teenagers themselves. Maci Bookout and Ryan Edwards' son, Bentley, is 15. And Leah Messer and Corey Simms' twins, Ali and Aleeah are 14. Where has the time gone?
Of course, as kids reach their teen years (and often before), parents typically have "the talk" with them. Maci and Leah are no exception. And recently, the reality stars dished on how they approach talking about sex with their teenage kids as former teen moms.

Maci revealed that she is straightforward when talking about sex with Bentley.
In an exclusive interview with E! Online, Maci opened up about how she approaches talking to Bentley about sex.
"I just do it point blank," she told the news outlet. "I feel like honesty is the best policy when it comes to that. You want them to be as prepared to make smart decisions as possible. And you also want them to feel confident in what they know so that they can advocate for themselves."
In the interview, Leah said she was also honest with her twins, Ali and Aleeah.
Leah doesn't beat around the bush with her teen daughters when it comes to talking about sex. "If they ask a question, they're old enough to know the answer," said the 32-year-old, who also shares a daughter, Adalynn, 9, with her husband, Jeremy Calvert.
Leah admitted that raising teenagers is harder than she thought it would be.
During her chat with E! Online, Leah shared that she once thought to herself, "Teenagers are going to be easy." The reality star admitted that she's "learning a lot" about what her mother experienced while "trying to balance teenagers."

Maci agreed that the teen years can be challenging.
Maci — who also shares Jayde, 9, and Maverick, 8, with her husband, Taylor McKinney — shared similar sentiments about Bentley.
"It's been one of those times in parenting when you have to let go a little bit and really trust that you've done everything you can and hope that they make the right decisions," the 32-year-old explained. "But you know d— good and well that they're going to screw up and you just have to let them deal with it. And just support them in the consequences of it."
Previously, Maci offered insight into how she approaches other teen/tween parenting topics, like social media.
On Teen Mom, Maci sat down with Bentley when he was a tween who wanted to have his own Instagram account.
"For us as your parents, we want to protect you and keep you safe, and sometimes even protect you for yourself and the bad decisions you could make," the concerned mom told her son.
Meanwhile, Taylor promised Bentley, "We'll talk about it. We'll get back to you."
It sounds like these former teen moms have got it covered!
