Travis Kelce Says Dad Panics Over Every Taylor Swift Breakup Rumor He Sees on Facebook

Considering the absolute media circus around Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's relationship that was born from the very first Kansas City Chiefs game she attended last fall, it's no surprise a lot of rumors about the couple are out there — some crazier than others. But unfortunately, there's one person who seems to fall for them every time. During a new podcast interview, Travis admitted that dad Ed Kelce will panic over breakup rumors he sees on Facebook, try as he might to convince his dad to stop taking them seriously.

Apparently, Travis' dad has been taking the headlines he sees seriously.

During this week's episode of the Bussin' With the Boys podcast, Travis opened up about the way his dad has been handling the media blitz around his very high-profile romance.

“He’ll see some wild s–– come across and be like, ‘Hey, what the f-–- is this?'” Travis said. "Something so f––ing out of the blue, like, something about me and Taylor.”

Ed wastes no time trying to get the truth from his son.

Travis said his dad will call him to see if he and Taylor are OK, to which Travis has a pretty hilarious reply: "Get the f–– off Facebook, Dad. Are you f––ing kidding me?"

We all have a relative like Ed who can get a bit worried based on unsubstantiated rumors they see online, so this tracks.

Fortunately, Travis is better at taking everything he reads with a grain of salt.

As an NFL player, Travis was in the spotlight long before his relationship started to make headlines. So when it comes to what people are saying online, Travis' mantra is "It is what it is."

“If they’re saying something, look in the mirror and ask yourself, ‘What are you portraying for them to say this type of s––?’ Either it’s a fair take, an unfair take or just f––ing whatever," he said.

It makes sense that Ed would be a little nervous about rumors.

After Ed met Taylor for the first time last year, the two hit it off, and while talking to People about his experiences with her, he called her "very genuine," telling a story about how she was cleaning up after the other guests in their suite at the Chiefs game.

"I'm just thinking, I don't think she got the diva memo," he said. "She didn't get the spoiled musician. She doesn't know how to pull that off. And that really to me said a whole lot.”

Fortunately, it doesn't look like Ed has anything to worry about.

After Taylor brought Travis up on stage during her Eras Tour concerts in London last weekend, it certainly seems like he's here to stay — and from what we've seen so far, it looks like both of them have truly been welcomed into each other's families.

Just stay off Facebook, Ed!
